You will meet Cinderella as you enter the castle to go to your table. They will take a one pose picture of your group (for each room you get an extra pose - we had 3 once). You children will get a wand or sword and you will head up to your table.

There are no princesses upstairs but about once an hour the 2 mice come in and go quickly from table to table to greet families. I do mean quickly. Then the fairy godmother appears and does a little song and dance about celebrations that everyone may be having. There is a little wish portion where the room glows with little strobe lights and then it is over. The fairy godmother does not go table to table but just flits around the room waving and blowing kisses. :)

Hope this helps some. :)

Thanks for the great info. We too are doing CRT for dinner for the first time, we have only eaten there for breakfast. How was the food, what would you recommend? CRT for dinner has not gotten much love on the Disboards, but we are adventurous eaters and are still going to try it out (plus we are already going to eat at Akershus breakfast so we will have the princesses taken care of, and we are also eating at 1900 Park fare so we will be able to get to see the royal family). Do the mice take autographs too or is it strictly picture taking? Thanks.

I did a report on my blog (click on my signature) of our last trip. I have pictures of our dinner and my children's plates. The food was good to okay depending on the item. It is much more an atmosphere restaurant.

I do not remember them signing autographs but they may have. My children have never done that.

Hope this helps some. :)

The food is OK. The only reason it is a signature restaurant is because it is in the castle, not because the food is something special.

I like eating there for the atmosphere.

At dinner there are no princesses, just Cinderella in the lobby. The fairy godmother comes in during dinner and does a little ceremony, but does not do meet and greets at the tables.

Personally we love CRT. The ambience is fantastic and you must do it at least once. As already stated you do get to meet Cinderella very briefly downstairs for autograph and photo which is brought to you at your table.

The boys are given a CRT sword and the girls a wand. The food is fine, definitely not worth the $$$ but as long as you are going to enjoy the atmosphere and the fact that you are in the castle it shouldn't bother you. We have never had a bad meal in all honesty and we have now been four times.

The waiting staff will call you Lord and ladies which tickles the kids every time.

The mice do their little dance, generally they stop briefly at your table for photos but this is not guaranteed and we have missed one or the other of them on occasion. They do not give autographs.

The Fairy Godmother sings Bibbity Bobbity Boo and moves around the room but does not stop at tables unless you are celebrating and she waves her wand over you (again not guaranteed).

The little ceremony is cute but lasts about 10 seconds not like the 'proper' wishing ceremony at breakfast time.

The kid's ice-cream with chocolate crown is lovely and you can order a lovely slipper in advance which I would highly recommend.

I read your blog on CRT and the steak looks wonderful so does your dessert, the corn chowder sounds like something I would enjoy as well. I am really getting excited about going to this dinner. Thanks for the review.

Tell me about the slipper you can order in advance. What is it and how much more does it cost?
Thanks,
Michael

The slipper dessert at CRt costs about $12.50 plus tax in February. It is a square cushion of angel cake, a milk or white chocolate slipper filled with dark chocolate mousse, a large pile of strawberries in a strawberry coulis and on both occasions we have ordered they have added an inscription of Princess Natasha for our DD. Can't manage to post photos unfortunately as I have some lovely ones. I would highly recommend it - it definitely has the wow factor.

Just ordered it today. Yep, $12.50. Had to be ordered through the Cake Hotline, though. I had called DD and the CM knew about the Slipper but couln't find it anywhere to order it. She gave me the direct line to CRT, so I called and left a voicemail last night, but no one ever got back with me. Found out how to order from the "Mom's Panel" on the WDW website.

BTW, totally off topic but: This is my 200th post!!!! :cheer2:
