Posted in the dining forum, but only got one response, so I thought I might do better here.

We are planning on getting the dining plan for DH and I. We would like to go to CRT for lunch for DD's 2nd b-day. I know that children under three are free for buffet's, but I am assuming that for this restaurant she would be expected to share from our plates or we would have to pay the full child's price to get her anything else.

I am concerned that she may not like the adult food, but I am not thrilled at the prospect of paying the full child's price for her to eat two bites of the child's lunch. Is it possible to get a small cup of mac and cheese or similar as a side item/ala carte for a nominal charge?

Also would she still get the wand and/or star so she can participate in the festivities? I do not want her to feel left out when she sees the other kids. Maybe I will have to bring a wand for her to use, if they refuse to give her one.

Anyone take a child this age to CRT lunch, and if so what was your experience?

Hi, I can't tell you what they do for lunch, but I can tell you what they do for dinner. We took our 5 yo dd there for her birthday. We also have a 2 yo dd. She was given a complimentary drink, appetizer (veggies, etc.), buttered noodles, and royal crown sundae. She really liked having her own meal since she was sharing every where else. I would imagine it would be similar at lunch too, but you can always call and ask.

We went for breakfast in 2005 & my ds was 22 months but they made him a special plate (huge I might add) due to his food allergies.

They asked me what he liked & they loaded it up with that.

OP - what is your daughter going to wear? My DD will be 22 months when we eat there, and I can't find a Princess dress in her size. And I haven't eaten there before, so I can't answer your question. Sorry. but it looks like our babies will get their own plates. Yum!

Thanks for all of the replies. It sounds like she will get something of her own to eat. Thank God! That way DH and I can order what we really want. I am still wondering if they will give her the wand and star to participate with the other kids. I am hoping to find out before we get there to avoid a meltdown. From my experiences the person you call to make ADRs probably will not know something like this.

I am planning to get her a princess dress of some sort to wear. There were several I found on the internet for toddlers before Halloween. Look around and see if there is anything left on clearance. I am sure you would get a good deal at this time of year. There are also several places on the net that make dress up clothes for little girls that you may be able to find something or ask to have something made in a smaller size. I really don't plan on looking until this summer, since we are not going until Sept. I am just asking these questions now as I think of them, before I forget. Yes I am a planaholic.

When we were there in August my 2 year old received a wand and wishing star...and we did not buy her a meal, she did get her own plate at no charge...with far too much food for a 2 year old to eat. :)

We went for breakfast two weeks ago and our DD2 was given a wand and star and had her own plate brought to her. She loved it!

We just got back from our first trip. Can't wait to go back! We were on the dining plan and went to the CRT for lunch. Lots of fun We had our ds 9 dd6 and dd 2. The older kids order from the kids menu and Clara-Cate recieved a complimentry plate of butter noodles, veggies, chocolate milk, dessert and she aslo recieved a wand and wishing star. Plus all the princesses took a picture with her. princess:

I recently found a princess dress at disneystore online for my 1 year old. I'm not sure if they just had them for Halloween or if they always do. It's pink and has Cinderella, Aurora and Belle on the little jewel thing on the chest.
