Hello!

Does anyone have any recent experiences with early CRT reservations? Are you able to get ahead of the Early Entry guests like previous PPO meals or do you leave breakfast and end up in a worse position?

We are on-site and have a breakfast reservation for 8:00 on a day that the early entry begins at 8:30. I know we could finish breakfast by 8:25, but I didn’t know if it was a good strategy. Would love to hear any recent accounts.

Thank you!

Just my opinion but I think it's a heck of a lot of money to rush through the meal.

Not sure when you last visited, but PPO ADR guests were forced to lineup separately and wait for rope drop for 7 Dwarves.

Sorry that was a little snappy of an answer. I haven't heard of a PPO advantage lately from anyone.

No need to apologize! You are right - it is a lot to spend!! I am glad to get the different viewpoints!

My thinking was that if we could have a meal in the Castle and get either a ride on Peter Pan (and not otherwise buy Genie+) or Mine Train (not spend for the Individual Line, but my January experience is that it’s down a lot on cold mornings), then it made more sense.

BUT I’m starting to think I could buy all of the ride add-ons and a bite to eat, and it would cost less and be a lot less stressful.

We had an 8am reservation on a day that had an 8:30am Early Park Entry. We were able to scan our bands early to get past for the reservation. You first enter as everyone does and go up Main Street. There is a line for checking resort guests over towards the bridge heading towards Mad Tea Party (this is where most go because that's where you line up for 7 Dwarfs). But we asked a CM and they directed up over to the left towards the bridge to Adventureland. There was a CM there scanning for early breakfast reservations. We were told to go over bridge and head past Sleepy Hollow up towards castle from there. We got some beautiful castle and carousel pictures with an empty park.

Have a great time if you decide to still eat at CRT.

I thought it was really good pre-covid. I’m not sure how much of an advantage it is now but we didn’t feel rushed and was able to go on mine train with a minimal wait.
The best was when Akershus was open and we had PPO opening breakfast. We were one of the first in line for Frozen Ever After. Rode it 2 times and then met Anna and Elsa with a minimal wait. Wish that could be done again

Is CRT currently doing breakfast? I don't see the option on the Disney site. When I click on CRT, it only gives me lunch and dinner options.

Yes they are. Had breakfast there last week.

I'm currently having issues with MDE. The restaurant reservation is messed up, and the only way I can see March 22 is going through the restaurant link, which only shows Lunch and Dinner. When I try to use the calendar, it only goes to March 21.

Try using the website vs the app. I don’t believe you can book CRT on the app.

It’s the website that’s messed up. I haven’t checked today but the calendar was only allowing me to book until the 21st when it should have been the 22nd. So I tried going through the restaurant and it only allows me to book lunch or dinner. I was playing with the app today (the dates aren’t messed up on the app) and a CRT lunch popped up. The problem with the app is it doesn’t show you what’s unavailable like the website does so there’s no way to know if you can book through the app or not. Also after a 2-3 hour hold if you call, what are the chances that there will even be any availability? I just hope it’s straightened out before my 60 day mark which is Monday. I tried going incognito, dumping cookies, deleting my browsing. Everything. It was still giving me the 21st. Now if I went directly through the restaurant (as previously said) it would give me the 22nd. I’m at work right now and haven’t checked. I was so stressed out when I went to bed last night I couldn’t sleep and since I had to work I didn’t want to ruin my day. All I can think is if the website is running a day behind when my 60 days comes up I’ll have to wait an extra day to book. I have no idea if it’s me or if it’s everyone. I haven’t seen any topics about MDE so I just don’t know.

When I chose a restaurant and the day it wouldn't show up online. I went back to the dining page and chose the day, checked the availability, all the restaurants showed up and then I chose the one I wanted and got the reservation for the day I was looking for.

Was your 60 day window today? I still have the dining page a day behind.

I already reached my 60 day mark, but couldn't see further for a particular restaurant until I did the general search for the whole park first. Then the calendar would spin forward for me.

If you really want to do CRT I would reschedule to later in the morning. My favorite breakfast on property but I wouldn't want to rush it. I've had times I've had to wait 30 minutes just to get called in to eat at CRT. That said I doubt that would be the case that early in the morning.
