I have a dinner ADR for CRT. Is this worth two credits on DDP? Is the food good? Do the characters come upstairs and got to the tables?

Dinner at CRT is not really a character meal. The only princess is Cinderella downstairs for photos.

Upstairs will periodically have Fairy Godmother and the 2 mice and they do a little 'celebration' ceremony for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. They do not circulate for photos/autographs.

I personally do not think it's worth 2 TS credits. I'd either pay for it OOP or go elsewhere.

If you want a character meal at CRT, you have to go to breakfast or lunch. I have a lunch ADR at CRT on the day we arrive! Yay! I was told at breakfast/lunch that Cinderella and her "royal friends" (which may include Snow White, Aurora, Fairy Godmother, Belle, her Mice, Mary Poppins, or Alice) will circulate during the meal. Have fun whichever meal you do!

Like the above post says....the characters do not visit the tables. The only characters you will see is the fairy godmother and mice and they don't each table. They only visit tables of those who have birthdays or anniversaries. They do not sign autograph books. You will have to do bfst or lunch if you want to meet the princesses.

I think it is worth two credits since you get a photo package and the kids get wands or swords. Service was great and the atmosphere of being inside the castle is amazing. How many people can say they have eaten dinner inside that castle. Not that many when you think of how many people visit WDW every year.

My Dh and I both got the prime rib. I thought it was excellent. Dh didn't care for it much. The entree was the best part. Appetizer and dessert was just okay though.

in my experience, suzy and perla did visit the tables for photos. didn't sign though.

This is my experience in October last year. My DH hated it. It felt like we were being rushed in and out. I don't know if it was because it was a busy night or what (closing early for MNSSHP) but we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. We had an ADR for 5:20pm, but it seemed like people were being seated in waves, so I think they ought to actually mention that. The people serving the food seemed to have a competition going to see how quickly they could deliver food to 4 tables in one go. Your meal was kind of shot across the table! It really lacked any personal service. The main server was really not into it either. She did throw someones drink everywhere, so maybe it was just a really bad day all around.

DH had the prime rib, it wasn't cooked very well and was very tough and fatty. I had the Lamb shank which was really good. No idea what DS6 had, it was cold though, I do remember that (it wasn't supposed to be!)

Having said that Cinderella was a real sweetheart downstairs, and the Fairy Godmother thing was nice. The dining room is so impressive, I am glad to have had the opportunity to visit. I would never be able to drag DH back in there. Maybe breakfast, but never dinner again.

With any restaurant I always try to remain objective, in so much as just because we didn't enjoy it doesn't mean that someone else wont have a fantastic meal there! It can very much be a time/place thing.

i had a 9:20 seating. we watched spectro a bit from the forecourt stage, met cindy, went upstairs, dined (i had the cheese tortellini and liked it very much), watched the fireworks, saw the FGM show and we just took our time. the theory is they kept making it colder (which i certainly didn't object to) to try to push us out, but nobody said anything. we were the last family to leave (left right after the 2nd to last) around 11 pm i'm guessing (my photos will tell me for sure). server was really great (i've had dinner at CRT twice and both times the servers had been top notch).

it was an excellent experience for me. that said, i don't think i'd be spending $40 for dinner anywhere else anytime soon and not sure I ordinarily would have there either. that was the only negative.
