All right, I've never eaten at this restaurant (except for lunch when I was 5, so things have changed a bit!). My friend just made reservations here for the two of us and two of our friends who are coming down here for the weekend (surprise dinner, one of the guys is obsessed with the castle). He says he had to prepay for the dinner, so we assumed it to be a buffet or family-style, but I've looked online and just found normal menus to it, with different entress and different costs to each one. Anyone know what this dinner is? Was the prepay thing getting us each an appetizer, entree, and dessert of our choice, or has it changed to a family-style, or what?

I think that he may have mistaken the deposit for prepay. I know that it used to be the Hoop de Doo and such had a deposit when you booked them and now that the CRT has changed to 2 credits as well that may be the story. We were there in July and it was an a la carte menu (that my kids weren't real keen on) but the ambiance is fantastic!!!

This is one of our favorite restuarants. Was there in September and did not have to prepay. They have great food here, prime rib is one of our favorites, not to mention my daughter always gets the slipper for dessert. It is sit down and has beautiful views of the park. I have no idea what he would have to prepay for????? Sorry, cant help on that note, but you will absolutely love this place!

The prepay is apparantly something new, for anything booked there past Feb 1st. He was told a high amount, much more than just a deposit would be. So we're a little confused. But we're eating at the castle, and none of us have eaten there before, and one of the guys in our group will probably cry when he finds out we're eating there, so we don't really care. We'd just like to figure it out!

There are a lot of threads on this board that can give you lot of info on this, but yes, for all meals in the castle starting Feb 1st must be prepaid in full at time of reservation. It is 39.99 per adult plus tax and gratuity added in advance. It is a preplated appetizer tray for the whole table, choice of entree and a new secret dessert. The price includes a photo package of your group with cinderella and one lithograph of the castle for all dinner seatings. we go Feb 5th. Can't wait!
