I booked CRT dinner many months ago since we had eaten breakfast there several times and wanted a change. After hearing MANY negative reviews here, I was very wary to say the least of what to expect. I decided not to cancel, it was paid for already, and we were going to enjoy it no matter what. We had 6:35 adr's - were taken in to the lobby where we had dd's photos take w/cinderella, then about 1 minute later, our name was called, and we headed upstairs. We had a wonderful table, 1 row back from the window overlooking fantasyland. We sat down, drink orders were taken right away and hot pretzel breadsticks came out, our server was EXCELLENT - I forgot her name at the moment, but she was so nice. DH and I both had the corn and crab soup, was very good - DH had the salmon, I had the lamb and DD6 had the mini hot dogs. I have to say, my entree was very good, DH's looked good and he said it tasted good as well. The cm was attentive, brought plenty of drinks, bread - I ordered the slipper dessert to be given to my dd's and the cm made a big deal out of it and gave my 2 dd's a special "certificate" for their "royal day". The fairy godmother and mice came out to do the short show, and then we left. All in all, I'm so glad I didn't cancel, it turned out to be a wonderful dinner. :wizard:

So glad to hear it! I have lunch ressie's there in dec. for just me and my 3 year old....

I'm glad that you had a good time. You mentioned having a picture with Cinderella. Other threads said she wasn't at her own restaurant, but that seemed kind of bizzare. Now I know. Thanks for posting. What did you order?

very glad to hear it after some people try to get other dis board memebrs to cancel b/c they say so. I really love CRT, the atmosphere cannot be beat, and the food is not bad! thank you so much for your review! :thumbsup2

Good to hear a positive review of CRT. We certainly enjoyed it last December.

I'm glad you had a magical meal!

Do you think the slipper dessert was worth it, ie.; did your dd get a kick out of it? I'd be willing to order it for my dd if you think it makes the meal more special.

Mickey1122 - Cinderella is in the lobby of CRT for dinner, she only takes photos with you and is not circulating upstairs like breakfast. The only charchters in the dining room at dinner are the fairy godmother and suzy and perla and they are there for only about 10 minutes during the show.

sukhakuli - Below is a picture of the slipper dessert - it was $12.50 plus tax and it was so nice - in my opinion it was worth it, but we were so full we couldn't really enjoy it - you also get your regular dessert in addition to the slipper. Like I said, the cm made a big deal out of it and told my dd's that prince charming had sent it over special for them. I had the lamb shank w/root vegetable mash and my dh had the salmon w/the shrimp rissotto. It was very good.

I'm so glad you had such a nice experience! We really love CRT and I think we'll be eating dinner there the night after our WDW wedding. We haven't been there since the character meal changes have been made so it's good to hear a nice review. How far in advance can you make dinner ADRs? Thanks so much!!

I agree with you, I did CRT or dinner in May and thought it was a wonderful meal. Our DD's picture with Cindy was beautiful and I thought the package was well worth the money. So glad you also had a nice event. We brought our picture over to Tinks treasures and they sent them back to our hotel so we didn't have to carry them with us.

Has anyone has the prime rib on the dinner menu ? I was thinking about ordering that when we go on 11-22.

I wish I got married at WDW!! I believe it is still 180 days in advance, and you have to pay with a credit card at the time of booking (unless you know you will be having the dining plan) I'm sure they will do something special for you.
