CRT Dinner or Akershus Breakfast?

Have have both reserved for our upcoming trip, but plan on canceling one ( I can't make my DS8 sit through two princess meals). My husband thinks our DD5 will think dining in the castle will be magical for her first trip. I have read so much on DIS that PSB is such a better princess experience.
What do you all think?

Maybe split up? Dh and DS go to see Stitch at Ohanas?

The PSB was wonderful, the food was really good. So I would keep that one and split up for CRT. (And Crt is more expensive if Ds wont enjoy it.)

We did PSB in December, we would do it again but DD is begging for CRT for her birthday. So DD and I going, Dh is not.

We just did Askerhaus breakfast and CRT lunch. I would definitely keep Askerhaus. The princess interaction was wonderful. The food was great. My daughter absolutely loved it. We all did. Seeing CRT for dinner isn't a character meal, I would pick Askerhaus. Actually, even if it was a character meal, I would pick Askerhaus. We were not impressed with CRt at all.

We just did both last week and dd loved both for different reasons. She loved seeing Cinderella in the castle but the other has more princesses and my dd's fave, Aurora. Just remember that Cinderella is only at CRT and 1900 Park Fare so it would really depend on who your dd wants to see. The food was comparable at both. Also at CRT your ds would get a sword so he might enjoy that!

actually, it's not guaranteed (as nothing is), but Cindy has been known to make appearances at Akershus to fill in for someone else, usually at lunch or dinner though.

Eating in the castle is a great experience.. unfortunately the actual meal is not that great. It is pretty pricey and very mediocre food. You will meet Cinderella in the lobby and have your family picture taken but there are no other princesses there. The Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla are there but they just do a little jug and take off.
PSB is great IMO. The characters are wonderful.. the food is far better than at CRT and the waiters are very pleasent. If I had to pick just one it would be PSB easily. Its cheaper, better and more fun.

We have seen Cindy there all 3 times we have eaten there.. even the first time at breakfast. We must have been very good girls because I know it was pure luck.
