Ever since I was a little girl I've dreamed of eating in the castle...and I've made reservations to do so on our disneymoon in September. But after reading all the really, really BAD reviews, I'm wondering if I'm setting myself up for disappointment????

Can anyone offer me some insight? Also, should I have told them when I made reservations to put on there that it was our honeymoon?? Does that make a difference or not? And should I do the same for my other ressies?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you go for the experience, not the food.

and there are probably a couple of minor upgrades you can make to make the celebration even better.

and yes, i would have mentioned it when making ADRs (i suppose you can call back and mention it) as well as for your reservation in general as well as when you check-in for adrs (although the button / ears should make it obvious)

I really think eating in the castle is something everyone needs to do at least once. It is a very nice experience, the interior I think is very special. And having your CRT meal tied to something as special as a honeymoon will make it even more wonderful! Definitely tell them its your honeymoon when you make the ADR (or call them back and tell them to notate it on your ADR) and then remind them again when you get to the restaurant. The nicest thing is if you could get a table by the window, we had one once and it was very magical. Now each time I am in Fantasyland, I look up at that window and remember that special meal we had there with my parents (their first and only trip to WDW, I am so glad we went there). Oh and for what its worth, our meal was wonderful, we all enjoyed our entrees very much. I say go for it and just remember that no matter what, you will be a special princess that night!

If it's something you've always wanted to do, then you should definitely do it on your Disneymoon. I wouldn't go in expecting V&A type food nor that caliber of quality, but if you go in looking forward to a great atmosphere and decent food, you'll be fine. We went 3 years ago and loved our meal there (I realize the menu has changed since), but we're going back again with our two girls and another family of 4 in May--even paying out of pocket just for the experience again. For us it's worth it! :thumbsup2

the food in the castle has never been my favorite meal in disney, but it is still my favorite place to eat. its all about the atmosphere and on your honeymoon that is exactly the type of atmosphere you need! I always book a princess meal when i visit disney and i definitely think you should keep your princess meal too:)

We were there last fall on my daughters 27th birthday. Food was fine and the atmosphere was wonderful. You will enjoy yourself!:thumbsup2

congrats on your upcoming marriage! I haven't been to CRT since they changed things. But DH took me there for dinner when we were dating, and I've always loved Cinderella. I don't remember ever eating there (I've been many times when I was little and could've eaten there) so I was so happy. He took me there on my birthday and they gave me a certificate and make me feel like a princess. The food wasn't the best, but I loved the experience. It was one of the most magical things we've done. It worked - we've been happily married for 3 years. :)

During our honeymoon last year, our first dinner in Disney World was at CRT. We loved it! They treated us like royalty and my husband even loved the food (this was before the menu changes though). We even ended our honeymoon with breakfast at CRT the day we were leaving. It was perfect and a truly magical experience. I highly recomend it!

I appologize for anyone who had a bad experience, but our food was delicious!!! DF said it was ruint on prime rib now, b/c no where at home has it as good, and the salmon is so good is practically melts in you mouth, and it is served with a lobster and shrimp dumpling that it is absoluty devine!!! Also if you go for your honeymoon get a reservation for about 7:30 or later, so you can be sure to see the fireworks, b/c you get a table at the window. I would vote for CRT without hesitation!!
