CRT Dinner for Special Occasion?

I went to book Artist Point for my 20th Anniversary and the wonderful CM recommended either CRT or the Polynesian Luau. I ended up booking the CRT dinner since they apparently provide a photo package. Regrettably, the only time I could get was 8:05 pm, which is later than I wanted but she told me it should be perfect timing for the 10pm showing of Wishes.

Now we have eaten at CRT once before but this was for breakfast (which was excellent ) so I don't know what to expect for dinner. Can anyone with some experience tell me if CRT is suitable for a couple celebrating their anniversary and whether we will be okay for Wishes or fighting the crowds that have already staked out the best spots?

We ate at CRT last August at the exact same time. We were very concerned about wishes as well, esp. since we had to wait a fair bit to actually get in, even though our ressies were 8:15. We made it in time for wishes, not the best seat or anything, but still a great view! THe dinner was great, we were very pleased. HTH

I had a wonderful experience at Cinderella's Royal Table! (That is what CRT stands for, right? lol). We had great food and a great experience. Everyone was friendly, and it was very romantic. We got to witness a marriage proposal at the table next to us too! I recommend the Rasberry Sorbet dessert that you get to keep the glass mug (if its still on the menu, it has been the 2 times I was there since I broke the first mug and had to go get another). We were also able to watch the Wishes show outside the window which was much better than being stuck in the large crowd of people outside. I really recommend this if you haven't experienced it yet.

When we were there back in 06, there was a couple on their Honeymoon who were given a 'special' table next to the big window in the back-center of the room. It was really nice and they seemed to love it.

We were there for my DD's 3rd bday and they really went out of their way to make it wonderful for her.

I didn't realize that you could watch Wishes from the restaurant. Maybe we will get lucky and get to see it while we have dessert.

We didn't have a special occasion, but DH and I were still sat at a table for two beside the window. This was our second time getting a seating after the 8pm mark and both times saw wishes from inside. The first time was pure perfection for a romantic setting. THis last time (in February) my only complaint was that during the Fairy Godmother and Mice section, the music and clapping and dancing made me start to rush my meal. DH noticed it and told me to put my fork down. Once I did that, just enjoyed the show, and waited until it was over to continue eating, then I enjoyed it.

Some people say you can't see wishes from inside the castle. It's not that you can't see it, it's just a different view of it. You don't see Tinkerbell, or the light show on the castle, but what you do see is purely magical...especially the ones that take off from the castle.

I don't know what the view is like if you're not by the window. The only two downsides (other than the Fairy Godmother section) was that a child around the age of 10 decided to stand between myself and the window during the fireworks. Note that our table was pushed against the window, so there was only about a foot between my chair and the window that she managed to put herself in. Took her parent much too long to ask her to leave, but eventually she did.

The other one was that there's no wine in the MK, which is fine unless you're having a romantic dinner...iced tea doesn't do the trick.

Wow! Thanks KirklandTutu. The pictures are awesome!! I forgot about the MK being dry but that shouldn't be a problem. I will be sure and have a chilled bottled waiting in our room when we get back.

What time was Wishes the night you went? I am trying to gauge our 8:05 pm seating with a 10 pm park closing.
