We didn't notice much difference. The character interaction was about the same, although the meal did seem better paced and not as rushed. That could be because you actually pick your entrees and they are not preplated like the breakfast. When we were there, the princesses did not come out until almost the end of the meal, which was nice. During the breakfast, it seemed that they came throughout the meal. The kids also seemed a little calmer and less excitable than at the breakfast.
We found the lunch to be a much better value than the breakfast. I am sure it will get harder and harder to get as it becomes more well known.
