which is better (me, my friend, our kids DS's 6, 4, DD 4, f's DD 3? the CRT one just seems sooo pricey (no dining plan) and the food doesn't look very good. is it better than it sounds? on deb's site there is cheese stuffed french toast and cream cheese danish...is there toast or something available for those of us that don't like cheese/cream cheese?

We enjoyed both- but CRT is special! Remember the price includes the photo package. The is plenty of food to choose from, including those you mentioned but also muffins and croissants. Our princesses loved it- especially the "wishing" ceremony with the wands and pixie dust. It's on the scedule for nest trip too.:goodvibes

We ate at both last time for breakfast (me, DD 3 & DD 5 & DH)
I seem to recall some fresh fruit at the CRT. But the food wasn't "anything to write home about", however that's how i feel about most food places at disney with the Charcters, so take that with a grain of salt.

My husband liked the potato thingy that came at Norway and I also liked the scrabled eggs. For the record when we went to Norway for Breakfast we saw: Sleeping beauty for posed pics; then ariel, belle, mary poppins, snow white (and then Mulan outside after breakfast). At CRT we saw Cinderella for posed pics, then belle, fairy godmother, jasmine, snow white.

For this upcomming trip I wasn't going to book CRT b/c i thought it was to much $, but when i asked the kids where they wanted to go, (they each could pick 1 resturant the 3 year old said the castle) I then tried to say which one the one in Norway?? and she was adament about the one in the MK, so I guess from a small child's point of view it was worth it...but if you don't do both and you are really going for the Princess more than anything else than I would try Norway this trip.

Norway tends to be less crowded and is a more realistically beautiful castle. However, I find the food there to be MUCH better for lunch and dinner. I suppose it's a matter of taste. However, the wishing ceremony calls all princesses at times...

IMHO...

CRT is only worth experiencing once now that the price is SO high.

PSB is great for breakfast, IMHO.

I think it has more princesses than CRT and we totally enjoyed the food. You may even see Belle in her yellow gown or Ariel with legs!

If you've never been, do CRT. Eating in the castle is just magical. We did both our last trip and enjoyed both- though we really weren't that impressed with Norway- it met the purpose of seeing princesses. When planning this trip, dd8 immediately asked if Cinderella was going to invite us to eat with her in the castle. We've been planning the trip for a year now, and she hasn't once mentioned the Norway breakfast- but CRT is a must. We've been to WDW 4-5 times since she was born and we were reminessing on our previous trips and I asked her what her favorite memory was- she said immediately eating in the castle with Cinderella and her friends.
So, to us there is no question. If you have a dd that is really into princesses and the 'magic'- you need to do the castle at least once. We are leaving in 12 days for what will likely be our last WDW vacation in many years- meaning the kids more than likely will be teenagers when we return. (dh's company shut down and he is now making 1/2 his salary- gonna get out of debt if it kills us!) So, we are eating in the castle the first morning before the park opens. If you eat there- try to get an early seating before the park opens- that is magical within itself! CRT holds many special memories for us and many of which are our favorite memories of our trips and children's childhoods. Yep, it is expensive and if we went often, we probably wouldn't do it often, but I think everyone with a princess in their house should experience it once.

thanks all! anyone with pictures?

another question. if we get an early seating at either (pre-park opening), can we rent a stroller then, or do we have to wait until the park is set to open?

We did PSB in Dec. because DD4 loves Belle and Jasmine, and we thought we had a better chance of meeting both of them there. Belle was in her yellow dress for the picture. Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White and Mulan were our other princesses, so we hit the jackpot since we saw Cinderella at dinner at 1900 Park Fare and Ariel at the Grotto.
