Which is best? I know the food isn't the greatest there..I mainly wanna eat there for the atmosphere and the experience. So which do you guys think is the best to go for? Breakfast, Lunch or dinner? charachter interaction isn't too important to us, it's just me and DF 24 and 25yrs old.

I decided to go to lunch for two reasons, one of which don't apply to you because my daughter wants to see the princesses. However, the second reason is because I was thinking about the times of each meal, and it seemed like a waste of prime ride time at MK to use the morning hours when its least crowded to visit CRT. At lunch, the park itself is getting crowded so arriving for lunch made more sense to me. Just my 2 soo! :hippie:

IMHO, I'd book the cheapest meal you can get. While it's nice to say, "I've eaten inside the castle", it's really overpriced now that they've made it a premium dining option. The quality is nowhere near the cost of any of the meals now.

You're basically paying for overpriced photos, IMHO. You can spend the same money elsewhere and get a better meal. I know I sound like a naysayer, but seriously, I haven't booked a meal there since 2001 because it's really not worth the price.

I agree with you, but, my DD is 6 and this is probably the only time she'll get to go there. Just like the overpriced BBB package, its something I'm willing to waste my money on for my daughter's princess: enjoyment.

We have not been yet but have a ADR in Sept. when we go.
I have 3princess: princess: princess: 's and we are going for them.
I hear dinner is nice only the fairy godmother is there.
I also hear that you can see the fireworks from your table that would be so neat to see from inside the castle. :3dglasses

ineraction isn't important than I vote for dinner. For us characters are important so it's lunch.

We were there 1-1/2 years ago and beside fairy Godmother, there was also Jasmine, Snow White and one other princess visiting tables and of course Cindy was downstairs taking pictures before you get seated. We got very lucky because we were the last ones in our time slot and Cinderella ended up sitting on the floor and holding my DD (then 2) in her lap for about 10 minutes:hug: You cannot put a price on that:)

Lunch!!!! :thumbsup2

Phenomenal food, plus its such a nice break during the day and allows you to sit down, relax, and rejeuvenate all while being entertained.

It's my favorite thing to do! Well worth the cost! :thumbsup2

90% of the time you will only see what appears to be lightning outside the window. Don't go to dinner for that reason - go to 'Ohana if that is your goal.

I booked lunch today for Feb. DH and I have been there before and I agree that the food is not good and it's way over-priced. However, we're taking our three year old granddaughter and Papa (DH) insists she has to eat at the castle just like her older sisters did when we took them. :lovestruc

Going tonight to buy fabric to make her Night Ho dress. . that's what she calls Snow White (Night Ho, Night Ho, it's off to work we go. . ):rotfl:

BREAKFAST- snag an 8 AM ADR and get in before rope drop- get pics in front of Cinderella's Castle without crowds- enjoy!!!

We plan on doing dinner at Cindy's. I want to clebrate our 25th anniversary there and order the engraved glass slipper for DH and me. I do not want to drag around the slipper in the parks.

We all love the Roast Prime Rib of Beef with gratin potatoes and a cabernet sauce
DH & DD will ask for a side of Wilted Spinach.
DS & me are meat and potatoe people - but we do eat salad!

My DD4 specificially asked to see the Princesses (notice the plural) this time. We went to CRT for dinner in February and while nice and very cool experience (I really liked my food too by the way, the pasta dish was DELICIOUS!) she really wants the character interaction.
So for our 2009 trip we're doing CRT for lunch then back to nap for the afternoon and return for Wishes.
For 2010 we'll skip CRT and try Crystal Palace to have a different experience!

Where can I find the lunch menu for CRT? Also, what is a good choice for lunch? We are newbies to CRT and WDW and do have a adr for our upcoming trip but haven't really researched exactly what we will have to chose from for lunch. Basically booked it for the atmosphere and princesses. Thanks.

source. For some reason the menu on this site is a bit abbreviated:

http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_crl.htm

Pasta al Pomodoro - Pasta tossed in fresh tomato sauce with garden vegetables

Pan-Seared Salmon - Saffron crab risotto, grilled asparagus and lemon beurre blanc

Herb-Crusted Pork Tenderloin - mustard cheese grits, cabernet sauce and crispy onions

Focaccia Sandwich - ham, turkey, and muenster cheese piled high on focaccia bread, with dijonaise complimented with house-made sweet potato chips

Major Domo's Favorite Pie - shredded beef simmered in rich cabernet sauce, served with mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables, crowning a light pastry

This is the third year in a row, at least, for this menu. Between my wife and I we have had the pork tenderloin, the salmon and the Major Domo's Favorite Pie. The next trip will be the Major Domo's again.

I know you can use dining credits on this but if you are required to use a CC at the time of booking, do they charge your CC at that time and then refund it later? How does it work?

To those who have been recently, were there any little boys? I don't have princess but I have a little prince (2 years old)who is very popular with little princesses   ....just wondering if we would feel out of place.:rolleyes1

We are that rare family that LOVES CRT!!! princess: SO much so we made ADRs for breakfast, lunch and dinner this trip.......:rotfl2:

DisneyAngel...Which meal were the mice at? Just wondering...

Does anyone know the last lunch seating?

Which characters are usually at lunch?

Can anyone share the link to the site where you enter your date and it tells you your 180 date to call for ADRs?

TIA!
