Hello,

We are headed to the world for our DD's 5th Birthday and I have ADR for BBB at 3pm and CRT for 5:30 for dinner. It will be our last dinner before we leave the next day so a nice quiet one might be appropriate. I know this is not a princess character meal anymore, so should I change it to Breakfast or Lunch. We did Breakfast when she was 2 and we have ressies for Chef Mickey's earlier in the week. I plan on ordering her a cake as it is her real birthday that day. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

ME(36)DH(39)DD(4)DS(1)

I'd do breakfast or lunch. With a 4 year old, she's liekly going to want princesses. Without them, why do this meal?

You'll be extremely lucky if you can even get a CRT spot for BK or lunch, but certainly worth trying for! The cake is a wonderful idea :) If you can't get the princess meals I think a stop at BBB and dinner at the castle would be a grand birthday all the same.

We gad this same situation. We were able to get an 11:30 BBB, but only a dinner ressie at CRT. I tried EVERY day 2-3 times a day to change CRT for Lunch, no luck! What we were able to do, was change BBB to 4:30 and get a 7:15 1900 PF (Cinderella's Gala) dinner. I know it's not as special as the castle, but really wanted the two to coincide.

I would not cancel your dinner ressie at the castle until you are absolutely positive you can change things around. As the pp said, BBB followed by dinner at the castle is a "royal treat" for any little princess. princess: I hope you all enjoy her birthday! :goodvibes

Experts here can give you some great advice:goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

We did CRT for dinner less than a year ago. Even though there weren't any Princesses upstairs, Cinderella was still downstairs for pictures and autographs. I don't know if that has changed. But I think BBB, followed by a quick visit with Cinderella and dinner in HER dining room is a magical experiance! Happy Birthday to your princess!

We go to CRT every trip - usually dinner, sometimes breakfast. We don't like the food options for lunch.

At breakfast you will have the princesses visit your table.

At dinner you have Cinderella downstairs (sometimes the Prince shows up, but rarely). Upstairs will be a table decorated for the birthday (if you tell them in advance and remind them at the podium); the fairy godmother and mice for a show which includes recognizing birthdays and anniversaries. I've watched the young children around us and have never seen one sad or disappointed. They get a cupcake with the celebration. Everyone always seems to be happy as pie.

We did CRT lunch with our 5 and 3 yr olds. The princesses were definitley the highlight for them. I don't think I would have eaten there if we could only get dinner. While its nice to eat in the castle, the princesses are a big part of it for a child. The lunch was fantastic. We went in December and I booked about 165days out and had the choice of a couple of days. I know its not always this easy though.
