Hi. I was so excited when I saw that there was a time for a dinner reservation for us available!! However it's a 10:50PM reservation. Would you know are there really any Princesses there that late at night? I think that would be one of the reasons to go especially keeping up my 5 year old.

Yes. The princesses will be there until all diners have had a chance to meet them.
Personally I can't imagine feeding a 5 YO dinner at 10:50 PM. You will pay the full child price for her even if she eats nothing
Good Luck

Thank you. I can't imagine what she will be like that late at night. But from what I have heard it's an experience not to be missed. Where this is her first trip and us not knowing when we can return...well, I am hoping something early will open up. It's during the Very Merry X-Mas party, so I was hoping that the Princesses could be in their holiday wear. Thank you again!

Are you planning on attending the party? If not, you will not be able to eat at CRT. If yes, it is a very expensive meal during very expensive party hours. I don't think it is worth it.
The princesses do not have holiday wear at dinner.

What are your plans for the next day? At least your daughter will be very tired, maybe making for a tough day. I would rethink your plan.
I would love to hear what others think as well.

Yes we are planning on the X-Mas Party that day/evening - and yes the tickets to that are very expensive! It sounds like it might not be worth it for us. We leave the next day so no parks that day for us. It'll be a later wake up and pack up. Thank you for being my sounding board. I appreciate it.

I would not do this. CRT is a lovely experience, but consider how lovely it will be if your DD is exhausted at that hour and you cannot make it. You will still be charged.

I know that we all suggest "must do" experiences for families, but you need to tailor those experiences to what is realistic for your own family. When you consider that you are already incurring a high expense with the tickets, and then you need to leave the party in order to eat...well you are missing a lot. I do not know what time Christmas Wishes is, but I think you may miss this show. I would look to see if there are any openings at Akershus Storybook breakfast. It is a Castle. There are Princesses. It is a favorite of ours.

You wouldn't miss much if you plan to do the first parade and Holiday Wishes is at 9:30pm. Just be sure you would have a clear path to get to the castle after Wishes, as you might have to steer through the crowds. Personally, I would go for it. But that's just me :) My 4 year old has no problem with staying up late (he requires much less sleep than I do!), and it really is a once in a lifetime experience. But, you know your kid. Do what you feel is right. People rave about the Pirates and Pals Voyage with kids that little, and that's pretty late too. You can also try signing up for Touring Plans and seeing if you can find an opening earlier in the night, maybe before the party starts.

We went to CRT and while it was nice to eat in the castle, we are not in any hurry to do it again. I do not consider it a MUST do though it is something that I figure most people will want to do once. However, there is no way I would book a 10:50 dinner - never mind thinking about doing it with a 5 year old. I would not want to eat my dinner at 11:20 which is when you probably will be served. I would look for an earlier reservation such as BEFORE the party starts. There is plenty of time for one to open up. I suggest using Touring Plan's reservation finder - it is free and helped me find my own hard to book ADR. https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/reservation-finder

If it's the only time you can get, then go for it. Yes, it's late. And with a 5yo. But you know your daughter and if it will work for your family. My kiddos can outlast me at night sometimes if the moment is right. Your daughter might just have the momentum of the party and the promise of princesses to carry her through. You just have to be ready to take that gamble. If my daughter, also 5, wanted CRT and your situation was the only way I could get us there, I'd go for it.

Thank you. She outlasts me sometimes :) Unfortunately Disney makes a lot of things easy but when you have to make reservations 180 days in advance but can only make trip plans a few months in advance, it makes it really tough to get any kind of character dining experience. It's all late night reservations that are left. Thank you for the encouragement, I appreciate it!

Oh, what is touring plans? Have you used it before?

Oh wow, this looks like a good option. Thank you.

I'd much rather search for ADRs the old fashion way....myself! its quite easy to do. I search multiple times a day since im on the computer at work already, and i always manage to get what i want. I was curious and clicked on the link you provided....How is it free? They require a minimum subscription of one year which is $12.95. Again, im a skeptic so no way would i pay for another site to find ADRs for me...but thats just me. If it works for others, thats great.

The ADR finder does not require the subscription, you just have to register an account.
The ADR finder helped me get a PPO
akershus and...I'm not 100% sure which other one because it was a couple of months ago, but it saved me SO much time. I just set it up and let the finder do the work. I got the notification text, went and grabbed the ADR and was done.

Oh I am going to have to check this out too. I thought I had to sign up with the subscription as well. Interesting....thank you!
I signed up to look for an ADR for dinner at LTT....so far nothing yet. I dont think the thing actually works because it hasnt found a table for me BUT when I go on the disney site, there are tables.

Do you have your notifications set up properly?

I've never had a problem with it. I set it up for two different ADRs and within a couple of days it had found both. I set up another one and then honestly forgot about it and after a couple of weeks that one came through too. So I'm 3/3 right now. And the cool thing was - I had one set up for Tusker House looking for something at 8pm even though park hours were not posted for that late and it came through with a 7:30 on the same day that the park hours were updated. So I'm pretty sure that it works.

I adjusted my requested time and it appears as though it does in fact work....kinda. At least now I understand what it does...it simply alerts you when something becomes available on the Disney site. So by the time you receive the alert and log onto the Disney site to snag the ADR, the ADR might in fact be snagged by some other lucky Disney guest. Honestly, I'd rather search for my own ADRs but I guess it wouldn't hurt to use both methods. :) To each his own. At least I learned something new.

Right...it doesn't make the reservation for you. It just searches and alerts you if it's found. If you set up the text alert and then go to the site right away after you get the notification...no problem. The ones I've received the text about have always been there.
