CRT and TIW

How does this work. I know they charge your credit card for the meal. Does your card get charged with the discount or do you have to get a credit on the meal once you have arrived at CRT? Thanks.

In July my card got charged the full amount when I made the ADR. When I gave the server my TIW card at the table, she processed a 20% credit to my card.

Because it's a pre-paid meal and the server needs to see the TIW, you will be given a credit to your credit card when you show the TIW at the time of the meal. Also it's not quite 20% because the discount is only on the food and not on the photo package.

How does that work with the 18% automatic gratuity? Do they credit only 2% then?

We just made ressies for HDDR and it's basically the same concept so I was wondering how that will work.
