CRT and DDP..

I have the regular dining plan if I wanted to do CRT it is my understanding they still guarantee your ADR with a CC but do not charge you up front. Am I able to pay with cash instead of using my DDP credits once there?

Yes, you can. Just tell your server that you want to pay cash instead of using the dining plan credits.

Also what are the chances of finding a CRT table close to last minute. I'm looking now and theres no availability..... wondering if this is just gonna be my wild goose chase ADR.

There is always a chance. People change their ADR's all of the tie, and drop the ones they do not want right up to the night before. If this one is important, keep looking. Good Luck!!!

When we made our CRT reservation we were charged on the booking CC and after our meal there the money was refunded since we used out dxdp. We were just there last week. I was told they always have to charge first for CRT whether you have the dining plan or not. We knew when booking we had the dining plan but they still charged the card. Same for Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

When you book online you don't have to pre-pay if you have the dining plan. You can choose to book using dining plan credits.

At the time you book CRT, if you already have a dining plan on your room reservation, the online system is supposed to recognize that, and it won't charge the prepayment. If you don't already have a dining plan you have to prepay. You can switch your payment method while you are at CRT.

If you call, the cm will make you pre pay even if there is a ddp on the room. If you book online, then you are fine with just putting your credit card down as a hold like anything else. We had this issue with HDDrR. I would reserve online and tell them when you are seated. I think you will see something open up of you keep checking very often.

Oh yes I have been stalking the site for dining....if it happens it happens, if not well then there is always next trip!

There's definitely a chance!! Last year I stalked the site everyday, even called a few times too and finally got a lunch reservation the week before we left for our trip!

I called to book CRT with the DDP and didn't have any trouble. Online, however, I was not given the option to book using the DDP; prepaying with a cc was the only option for me.
