I was just going over my PS's for our trip and realized I booked both CRT and CP on the same day. We have CRT at 8:05 for breakfast and CP at 6:00 for dinner. It is my daughters 1st birthday so I want to do something special for dinner and there is no way I will cancel CRT. Is this too much in one day?

Thanks!

hhhmmm...........i would definitely suggest an afternoon break. maybe by doing that everyone in the group will be rested and ready for more character interaction. keeping that in mind, i think the little one will be fine. happy 1st birthday!

I personally think it is too much... maybe you should have something special at CRT in the morning, they could sing happy birthday to her. Then the next night to CP and celebrate her birthday again. I know I have done it that way. There were also times that I couldn't do it on the actual birthday. Once we did my youngest daughter 10/28 & my husband 10/21 together at CP...we were there like the 26th. I was honest and explained to the CM's the actual birthdays... they were fine with it. They even gave each of them a cup cake & card!:cake: :bday:

It really depends on your family.
For us, no, it would not be too much. You have breakfast & dinner spread out enough where you can have a nice breakfast & then enjoy a supper later on.

We have had a character breakfast & then a character supper in the same day a few times & have enjoyed it. We really don't eat much lunch though & then by the time supper rounds around we are hungry again

This coming trip we have 'Ohana scheduled for breakfast & then later that evening we are having dinner at the Garden Grill.

So, I say do what you think your family will enjoy!
Have a GREAT time :)

I think it sounds like a great way to celebrate a first birthday. I would take an afternoon break as someone else suggested and then make the most of it. Make sure you have it noted on your PS's that it is her birthday. I just celebrated my DD's 4th birthday there and it was fantastic. The restaurants really make it special. The pictures and memories you will get will be priceless.

I don't think it's too much, and if you aren't up to it on that day, you could always cancel your PS at CP.

I'm planning on doing 2 character meals one day of our trip, it will be Mothers' Day, so we're going to eat where I want to, with characters I want to see.........ok, I'm selfish!

As long as you don't do anything big for lunch, and you don't think your kids will get overstimulated, I say go for it! That would be a great birthday celebration to remember for years to come!

This July we are going to CRT for breakfast & crystal palace for dinner. For lunch that day, we all plan on having Mickey bars! :hyper: & figure we should start getting hungry again just in time for our dinner ps. If we're not very hungry, atleast we'll have a cool air conditioned place to have a drink & see the characters. :)

I have almost the exact same PS schedule for our first MK day. My sister and I have never eaten at CP before, so we're doing that for breakfast. Her son has never eaten at CRT before, so this will be a big surprise for him.
I don't think it's too much for one day.

We have had two character meals (breakfast and dinner) in the same day before, and it wasn't a problem at all. In fact, it was great! :D Of course, we love character meals anyway.:hyper:

We just had a quick snack from counter service that day, and we took an afternoon break at the resort, which is something we do most days anyway.

Happy 1st Birthday to your daughter!

I think that since you have spread them out a good portion through the day, that doing them both in one day will be fine. I love the Crystal Palace and Cindy's for lunch/dinner is one of my must dines.

The question is whether it will be too much for the adults to have these two meals in one day. It is certainly a nice thing to do for your daughter, but at only age 1, I would imagine that it's not going to make that much of an impression on her. As long as the adults are up for it (and take breaks appropriately to be rested), it should be great fine.

The food will not be too much if you just snack for lunch. Just wondering what your MK expectations were for that day....Your CRT ressie is early, so you will get out in time to have shorter lines at the park. You will probably get a lot of Fantasyland done quickly with your DD after breakfast. You may wish to leave the park in the afternoon, once it gets crowded, and take a resort break. Are you staying on site? You could watch the parade, go back to the room for some AC, then come back for dinner and a few rides, then see the fireworks! Not a bad plan. We try not to plan two large meals in one day, due to the time it takes and the amount of food, but if it happens that way, we go with the flow. The characters are very different at CP and CRT, so your DD will probably enjoy both. Do you have a PS at CM? They have a great atmosphere for a birthday meal as well! For our DDs 1st b'day, we had PS at CRT, CP, Cindy's dinner, CM, and PSB. She loved them all, and they all treated her special for her birthday.

We have a PS for dinner at Chef Mickey the night before her birthday (one of our favorites even before DD was born). :)
I'm sure with getting up early we will all need an afternoon break for either a swim or a nap, probably both. I would love to get the PSB also but they were booked when I called. I did request it on the form I sent to the Beach Club Conceirge so maybe they can help me. With two all you can eat meals in one day we will probably just have Mickey Bars for lunch:mickeybar

Thanks for the help everyone!
