DH and I had dinner at Akershus on our last trip, so he's refusing to eat there this time (such a buzz kill). I would love to get an early ADR at the castle, but he's being a punk about eating with princesses again. Personally I think he's jealous of Aurora:laughing: Any idea on how to convince him that this is a good idea?

He loves breakfast, so that's a selling point, but he's SO against the princess deal. I know I can find Aurora other places-totally stalked her in June ;) but I think eating in the castle would be fun. BOO on DH lol!

Eating in the Castle IS FUN!..and is a family tradition for us...

What if you entice him by telling him they have a GREAT PRIME RIB for dinner?

Then maybe you can do CRT dinner? He can get a FREE PLASTIC SWORD!

We've seen Aurora at the Perfume shop in France at Epcot..she is my youngest's FAV Disney Princess...

Good luck!

Hugs,
Mary

has only Cinderella downstairs and the Fairy Godmother, Suzie and Perla upstairs. The latter three put on a show during the meal and don't really mingle.

The princesses are at lunch and dinner. We have been to lunch three times. Aurora was at the meal twice.

We went once, which like a number of Disney experiences (ie Not so Scary, ANY parade, lol:lmao:) is great to do ONCE, but I don't want to ever do again. CRT falls into that category for me as a dad.
And I agree with him about the Norway Breakfast experience.

That said, life is short and soon your babies will be grown!:littleangel:

So I would just tell him you'll meet him when your done.
My guess is he will change his mind pretty quickly then.

Either that or you can promise to take him to Liberty Tree where the food is much better, on a differant day to see Minnie and friends.

Funny though, I never seemed to mind having to look at the Princesses, no matter how bad the food was!?:rolleyes1

You know what's sad? The free plastic sword will probably entice him more than anything *bangs head against wall* Although the-I'll just go alone thing might work too lol!!

The first time we did CRT DH refused to go... but I told him the ressies couldn't be change and his DDs would be upset. So he grudgingly went and from then on we have done CRT every trip! Having a HUGE breakfast and then doing tame Fantasyland rides is just perfect. Just book it and tell him they will charge you if you cancel it. A little white lie involving Disney won't hurt... lol :rolleyes1

The thing that brings my husband back, is he thinks it's a good breakfast. Could care less about the princess deal though. The best part IMO is if you get the early ADR and can get out before rope drop. Being first in Fantasyland is key for me (and the kiddos) until next time at least when we're ready for Space Mountain. Good luck!

Just tell him YOU really want to eat there and in exchange, he can pick 2 restaurants to go to. :thumbsup2

I would do dinner - only pricess is Cinderella and she is only in the lobby for pictures.

Food is yummy

If it helps at all, tell him that all the waitstaff will call him "Lord" and wait on his every need !! :rotfl2: Men get a kick out of that !!:rotfl2:

I think eating in the castle at least once is a must in my book. Nothing can compare to that experience.

Dinner is much less princess oriented and the prime rib is very good. Breakfast is cheaper if you are paying OOP, but more princesses. But the food is very good as well.

I think he'll be glad you made him go whether you do breakfast, lunch or dinner!
