I currently have a dinner ressie at CRT and think I want to change to a pre-RD breakfast. However, there are no reservations available all day for 5. There is an 8:15 am for 4 though. I was thinking of booking it and showing up with 5. I figure since it's early in the morning we should have a pretty good chance of being accomodated. What do you guys think? Should I risk it?

Not sure what you mean by your statement. Obviously I think they would put the extra person at our table.

I've read where others have shown up with extra people and have been accomodated. Just wondering if people thought I stood a chance of that happening at CRT.

IDK, I just assume if they could accommodate 5, then that would be an option. If 5 isn't an option, then I would assume they couldn't do that. :confused3

Seating can be very tight at busy TS restaurants. I swear they tried to squeeze our party of 6 into a 4-top at Chef Mickeys. I asked if I could pull up an extra chair and they said "No"....it's that tight in some places.

The dining reservation number folks will not be able to help you, unless a reservation for 5 opens up. You can certainly try to get 5 in but I'd prepare the 5th person for the possibility that he/she won't be able to get in. Then again, you may not be able to try this if your ADR is before park opening. The CMs at the front gate check to make sure you have a reservation before they even let you in the park. IDK, try it and see what happens.

We ate at CRT and there were large tables. I don't know what that means? Good luck, whatever you do.

My only concern would be that CRT is a very popular restaurant. I would hope they could accommodate the extra person, but if they unable to...could you live with that?

Personally, I would keep trying to get an ADR for 5 people so you don't have to worry about whether or not the folks at CRT will be able to make room for your extra guest.

I wouldn't. where do you thik they can put the extra person?

Going from 3 to 4 or 5 to 6 isn't likely an issue since the table size they would sit you at would be the same. But where would you expect them to put the 5th person at a 4 top table? Now if the 5th person is a baby/toddler in a high chair you may have better luck.

The maximum number of people a restaurant can accomodate is determined by the fire code and Disney will not exceed that number. If CRT is fully booked, it's possible they will not be able to seat one of the people in your group.

Also, by going from 4 to 5 you will need a larger sized table. The tables are pretty close together at CRT and the aisles need to be kept clear for the princesses to circulate so it's doubtful they'll be able to pull up a chair at a table designed for 4. Again the 5th person might be turned away or you might have to wait a long time for the appropriate sized table.

Eh, no biggie. There will be other trips. I'll just leave well enough alone and enjoy the dinner.

Thanks for the info everyone :goodvibes.

I think I read here last year that someone asked at the gate if there was room for their party at CRT for breakfast and there was! That was before they required pre-payment and only took a CC number, "just in case". Now that they require a full payment at booking, I bet there are far less "no shows" and last minute cancellations. But, if you really want to do an early breakfast, just be there early. Worst case, you have a front row spot for the RD ceremony.

that's what I meant. they will sit 4 at a 4 top table. there is usually no room to just "pull up an extra chair".

the 6 top tables are kept aside for those with reservations for 5 or 6. sorry.
