Did a bid on Priceline yesterday for two rooms March 21 to March 25 (4 nights). I started at $41 and used free rebid zones until a $45 offer was accepted. The hotel is the Crowne Plaza Anaheim--Garden Grove, about 1 mile away from DL. Additional $12 per night resort fee covers parking and shuttle to DL. Rate on the Hotel's website is $99.

I've read both good and bad reviews on the hotel and we are hoping for a good experience.

Any DISers want to share their reviews?

I've written on a few other threads about this place as have some others so you may want to do a quick search.

That said you're staying in a decent place -- not the Hyatt but not the local roach motel. The Crown Plaza is a bit older inside and out and it shows but at the same time it's very kid friendly, has a nice staff, decent rooms and everything during my stays worked fine. No issues checking in with the priceline booking although there is a small resort fee charged every night in addition to your room fee which covers parking, internet access, pool use and a few other items.

The resort fee also includes a free shuttle which runs either every 15 minutes or 30 minutes depending on the season. It's a great deal and something to definitely use.

There's not much in terms of onsite amenities besides the pool and gift shop. However your location puts you outside tourist zone and you'll have some nice casual restaurants, a target and supermarket within close driving distance.

Parking is pretty simple and all outdoors. There's not a ton of it but I always got a spot and even as a single, no kid visitor, the noise and kids were never that overwhelming.

If I had my pick it wouldn't be here but I also don't complain when Priceline sticks me here either.

We like the CP, it's a nice place to stay. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfy the staff is pleasant. It's not my favorite but I like it. For the rate you're getting, it's definitely nice! :) The shuttle has always run every 30 min. when I've been there, it stops by the CP on the 20 and 50 of each hr. The shuttles are shared with at least 1 other hotel, our last trip it was 2 but when they get full you can either stand or they bring out another shuttle. At night they have 3 or 4 running back and forth. :) There is a lot of parking, most of it is around the back but you won't have any problems finding a spot. There is also valet if you want to pay extra for that, we don't, we just park in the back and use the free shuttle. :) There are a couple restaurants right there (Joe's Crab Shack, YUM) and a Target across the street. The fridge is stocked and they charge you if you use their items but they do give a couple of free bottles of water (just sitting on the counter, not the Fiji bottles) they just aren't cold.

We got a March bid for $45 accepted yesterday, so it looks like that's still the rate they're giving to Priceline. (My only rejected bid was for $40.)

We had friends who stayed there on a Priceline bid that got accepted. Though not their first choice, they liked it. The only thing they weren't prepared for was the daily resort fee of $12 that is on top of the rate you paid on Priceline. I was told it covers parking, the shuttle service, etc. So be prepared to pay that daily fee on top of the $45/night.
