crowds

From what I hear, very light. Historically Sept and January (after the holiday break) are the lightest times. We went last Sept, but the end of Sept and some of the fast passes were closed. We didn't need them. I waited no longer than 10 minutes for a ride. Sept will be hot, but the lack of crowds make up for it. Enjoy!

We go every year about that time and the crowds are very light. Even last year with the free dining plan, the crowds were very manageable. We're hoping for the same experience this year!

Me and my wife get there on 9/2. we're expecting a decent size crowd for the weekend, but then hoping it drops off dramatically right after the official holiday on Monday like it has every other year. I really dont' believe the free dinign will affect it that much. I think it seems like everyone does it, because everyone on here is "Disney Educated", but I don't think the general public has caught on as quickly. They even extended the deadline to book it, so it couldn't have been super popular. I may be wrong though, it's just an honest opinion.

So basically it would be easy enough to get on the thrill rides without having to queue for too long? IE- Expedition Everest, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain etc etc.

You may have to wait a tiny bit like 10 - 15 minutes or so, but not an hour. Also the really big attractions still use fast pass during the value season. I recommend using the fast pass so you can walk around and go see other things. Also, a little unkown (well not known by too many people) fact - if you get a fast pass for say 1:00 - 2:00 and you miss your time window - don't worry you can go after 2:00 just not before 1:00. I hope that was clear. This is good if you decided to go somewhere else and didn't make it back in time. I was told this last year and wasn't sure so I tried it out several times at the different parks. Everytime it was the case. I had an expired fast pass and it didn't matter. A CM told me it was fine. Especially during value seasons, they are a little bit more laid back.
