This may be the first time it's happened with the extended Star Wars weekend (or they could have overlapped before and I'm just not remembering) but how were crowds with Gay Days and Star Wars weekend at the same time earlier this month? (the first weekend in June) Noticeably busier? Would you compare it to summer? Thanksgiving? New Years? Or?

I can't compare it to summer...and we were just there for the first hour or so today. But it honestly seemed no different today than on week 1 or week 4 SWW Saturdays we attended. But we did leave early (as as intended) to head over to EPCOT.

Didn't they overlap last year? I know SWW was extended last year, and I think it went into Gay Days. That said, I didn't notice any excessive crowds until it was all over.

Yeah, I couldn't remember if it extended into June this year or last! Thanks!

I can't compare it to the same weekend last year, but we were in the MK last Saturday and I believe it made a marked difference in attendance.

They overlap every year. I don't see a noticeable difference in crowd, other than the fact that the crowds seem to get bigger as the weekends go on, since some schools get out in late May/early June.

We routinely visit Disney the last week of May and the first week of June each year. We were at Disney this year starting on May 23rd until June 2nd. We visited the Disney parks every day during those 10 days. We all thought that the crowds were larger this year than the same weeks in prior years. Don't know if it was the overlap of SWW and Gay days, or just the overall increase in the number of people who visit Disney these days.

We visited for a week last July, and with the exception of the tour groups, the crowds were very similar to what we just experienced.

We were at SWW last Friday when it was Gay Days. I didn't notice anything as far as crowds go, and it wasn't until about 4 hours into our day that I turned to my husband and said, "Oh, yeah, I forgot it was Gay Days today" after I finally realized that there seemed to be more gay couples at Disney than I remembered seeing in the past. Had I not "known," I never would have noticed, honestly.

We were there a few years back and to be honest I didn't notice. It was already crowded because of SWW, so I never realized until we spoke to a couple in line and they told us they were there for gay days. It seemed no more or less crowded than the previous days of our trip.

At DHS on Friday 6/5 I didn't notice any out of the ordinary crowd sizes (at least for it being SWW)
MK on Saturday, however, was nuts which was odd because I was there the same weekend last year and I didn't notice a big increase in the crowd then.

I saw a few rainbows but just thought was cuz it was Disney. Crowds were much lower to me in June. Tomorrow will be my SWW for this week so I can't say for sure, but having gone Mem Weekend and every weekend since, I found the last weekend in May to be much busier than any of the weekends in June so far. (And I've only been going on Saturdays. The weekend RnRc went down was by far the crazy busiest feeling to me.) I didn't know that was that week, but I wasn't at MK or anything. There were many more SWW fans than the others to me. It did not impact my day personally.

We were there last week and thought the crowds were a little less than when we usually go this time of year. We always go during gay days and sww and really dont think it has that much of an impact on crowds

Not a huge difference actually. A lot of the gay days crowd don't make the HS day. Especially since the hotel change up to near Sea World.:rolleyes2. But most of those who come on Friday are already big SW fans and red shirts aren't so prevalent because lots wear their fave SW shirts.

I'd think all things Star Wars would increase crowd levels this year with the movie coming out and all.
