Crowds? WHAT crowds?

...12 days, end of June, beginning of July. I was glad to read the posts here about crowds not seeming too bad. I totally expect
crowds,but I don't care!!!!!!!! I'm going to enjoy the 4th and my 50th birthday!!!!!I say,"BRING IT ON!"

I thought the Fairytale pkg would bump up the crowds from July -Nov. Maybe everyone is avoiding the summer heat to go when it is supposedly less crowded- Oct. I am going to be there over Columbus day weekend and after, so I am holding my breath (not until Oct, though!)

I really thought the FTP would bring in larger crowds. I keep reading that a lot of folks are coming down in Sept. and Oct, after the hotter weather breaks.

It's going to be my first trip staying on site, and for a whole 8 days no less! I won't mind the crowds, I just hope the FTP helps WDW maintain it's high standards for family vacations.

I'm one of the Sept/Oct folks, and I hope we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot by expecting to be coming to WDW in the "slow season" -- only to have thousands of other people thinking the same thing!

We shall see ... I just braved the crowds at Six Flags last week, and that was torture enough. Give me low crowds and lots of Fast Passes at WDW this fall, O' Disney Gods, and I promise I will return! :)

We just got back this week, and we noticed the same thing Greg did... low crowds. We've gone before at this time of year, and my DH kept comparing the difference. Many times we walked into lunch (Hollywood Brown Derby, Coral Reef) without a PS.

Just an observation... we didn't see a single tour group the whole time. That made a huge difference.

BTW, the weather was great, too. Not as hot and muggy as past years, and very pleasant in the evening.

oh please let it stay this way:D we are going next june 29th-july 13th and have heard this is a very crowded time to go

eve:D

Yes, please let it stay like that for my trip the first week of August.

Only 16 more days to go

Thanks to everyone reporting back!

I'll be there in 7 days, so hope we don't hit the crowds then.

CarolA..You're right ..crowd conditions are a double edged sword. Less crowds can cause cutbacks in staff, hours,etc..etc.. ND WE DON'T WANT THAT. I guess we all want crowds, just not in the park where we are on any particular day. Is that so much to ask????

I don't want crowds! That is why we go in October. No crowds, no waits, no problems. We also do not mind shorter hours as we can get everything done when there are no crowds. Sounds like a perfect vacation to me.

We're leaving in the morning, so I hope I find this too! It would be great to have reasonable crowds and not such terrible heat and humidity.

Wish me luck!

I was there again today - Anmial Kingdom this time. no crowds today either and a BONUS no rain

We finally returned, after two wonderful weeks in The World.

The crowds did pick up, but just a little, our final week.

I saw LOTS of tour groups -- Brazilian, mostly. Interestingly, before FANTASMIC!, there were a series of announcements in English, Spanish and Portugese -- the last, no doubt, for all those Brazilians. Is that something new and permanent, or just seasonal??? FANTASMIC! was the only place I heard that.

Anyway: overall, I think the crowds were very low for this time of year. I noticed vast parts of the parking lots at ALL the parks were EMPTY.

Curious. Very curious.
