Crowds week before Christmas?

I have read a lot of threads about the crowds Christmas week but I haven't been able to find much on the week before Christmas. Does anyone know when it starts getting crowded for Christmas? Is it just a couple of days before or will the whole week prior to be crazy? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you.

We went last year from 12/17-12/21 (Sat- Wed) and it was not bad at all in my opinion. Although that was the first time I had been at that time of year and as an adult. It did seem to get more crowded as the week went on but lines were not long at all at most rides. Hope this helps

EDIT: I guess I should say we stayed at the Contemporary. It was cool at night but just enough for a light jacket and gloves. I guess the parks we hit on the days we went were not at their busiest? Although busy wise I'm also thinking in comparison to when we went in June.

We will be there from Dec 18-23 and I am hoping it won't be crazy too! I know it is going to be busy, but it has to be better than the week after Christmas right??! There still seems to be alot of availablity at the resorts when I check, so maybe that is a good sign?

We were there 12/17-12/24 of 2005 and I thought it was very crowded. We stayed at Pop and the food court was always very crowded and we waited most days around 20 minutes for buses.The parks were not to bad if you got there early, unfortunately the group I was with seemed to think 10 am was early so by the time we got to the parks lines were pretty long.Be sure to makes ADR s we saw many people being turned away from restaurants at all hours.Oh yeah and don t forget some warm clothes a couple of nights we about froze our patooties off.

Thanks for the info. We already have dining reservations so we should be all set there and have booked a wishes cruise for one of the nights. Guess we will have to dress warm while we are out there.
