Leaving for Disney the Saturday after Thanksgiving. How do you think the crowds are going to be? Hopefully not too bad. I had thought the first week of December would be low crowds, not thinking it was the week after Thanksgiving.

Hopefully everyone comes the week of Thanksgiving, not after... Beth :

I think that it will have higher crowds in the past, because Thanksgiving is so late this year. That is why we are going. At the end of the first week, I think it will be very crowded. Mousefest will be done with their cruise on the 4th and then going to WDW and Pop Warner starts the following week, so I bet there will be a higher attendance on the weekend as well. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I think MOST of the Thanksgiving crowd will head home Sun-Mon and although it'll pick up toward the end of the week, I don't think it'll be too bad. Mousefest is both outside and inside the parks - I think out of all the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, it'll be the quietest.

Went last year during Pop Warner and now avoid that week. Were at ASMu and POFQ and just way too many loud, unchaperoned kids keeping us up late at night.

Have a great time - it can't come soon enough!!!!! :smooth:

We've gone the last three years the week AFTER Thanksgiving and it was great!!!! Very low crowds - we rode everything we wanted to with little or no wait! Many rides we just stayed on and rode again!

We did Candlelight Processional with a PS, and we also did MVMCP!!! I would highly recommend both as they were so much fun!!!

Last year, we also did Universal Studios for one day, and again, we walked on to most of their rides too!!!

This year, we're trying MNSSHP; but hope to be back for the Christmas festivities next year!!! Christmas is my favorite holiday, and the best place to be is at Disney to see all the decorations!!! Be sure to see the tree at the Grand Floridian!!!

By the way, we stayed at the All Star Movies for our visits in 2000 and 2001, and we stayed at the Grand Floridian in 2002! Hotels were great - bus service at All Star Movies was fantastic!!

Have fun!!!

Sat crowds will be moderte to light heavy. Sun will be moderate at its heaviest, more than likely light. Mon through Thurs will be light. Fri and Sat will be light to mooderate. The MK on Sat evening will be a zoo. It is the only night that more than likely have Spectromagic and the Fireworks. The locals usually do MVMCP on Fri nights and Candlelight Processional on Fri and Sat nights. That just means more people doing those 2 things. The crowds overall will be light. Mousefest will not make a major difference overall in how crowded the parks are. The parks are still kind of large.

Great!!!! Thanks for the feedback. We have tickets for MVMCP for Dec 2. Still haven't made PS for Candlelight Package but will. It's a toss between Le Cellier and Tappanyaki, Japan. Thanks again....... Beth

BTW I'm writing just to see my countdown!!!!:p

Kendallkat2-

Life seems to fly by, but Dec. won't come to soon.

We will be at MVMCP on the 2nd also....we are also eating at CP at 5:15!!!! How funny is that? We're DVC members and have been there many times. However, this time we're bringing along my best friend (since 4th grade and I'm 43!!!) and her husband who have never been to Disney before. We're all very excited!!!

We will be at MVMCP Dec 2 too!

We will be at CP at 5:15p too!

We are DVC members too!

I was there last year from the day after Thanksgiving through the first week of December. Friday & Saturday, the parks are pretty crowded, by Sunday they seem to lighten up a bit and by Monday all the parks were great. The following Saturday & Sunday brought some of the local crowds, but nothing too bad. I did (and am doing again on my upcoming trip) EPCOT the Friday after Thanksgiving, MGM on that Saturday, then head for the MK on that Sunday. I found the other parks not as bad crowd wise last trip.

Also, a helpful hint. Bring a sweatshirt, pants & gloves with you. We had some days where the weather was just downright nippy (and being a New Englander, I know cold).
:jester: :smooth:
