Crowds/Weather for Nov vs. Feb

We just returned from a trip in Feb in which the crowds were minimal . . .it seemed we walked on to a lot of things and were using FP to avoid 20-30 minute waits (at the most). However, it was a bit cold. While we did have a few days in the 60s, there were many that were in the 40s - 50s.

How are the crowds in November - assuming we stay away from Thanksgiving crowds and any other special events? I would assume it is generally warmer?

We have been three times in Feb and twice in November. November was considerably warmer than 2 of the Feb. trips. We wore our winter coats for 3 days of one of our Feb. trips. :scared1:

Both Nov. trips were Thanksgiving week and 2 of the February trips were around Presidents Day. Thanksgiving week was more crowded beginning Wednesday, but earlier in the week it was really about the same as we had experienced around Presidents Day. I like Thanksgiving because of the Christmas decorations, etc.

Our first February trip was HOT and less crowded. I don't exactly remember what week in Feb it was, because we decided to go one day and left the next!!! :cool1:

I would really like to go in October...MNSSHP and (probably) even better weather!

We've been twice in February and once the week after Thanksgiving. For us, the temps were relatively similar. Very unpredictable, so bringing all-season gear is a must. We would have a day in the 70's and the next day in the 40's. BUT, both times of year we got very little rain. I think each trip there was maybe one day that was gloomy and rainy but we've enjoyed the weather so far. None of the trips have been "beachworthy" but we still always go to the beach and wade in the water a little bit.

Going in early May this year and looking forward to the weather being just a little warmer (but hopefully not TOO much warmer!!!

I've been once in Feb and once in Nov, and for a few reasons, Nov has won out for me as the time to go. We went this past year the week before Thanksgiving, and I can't imagine a better crowd scenario. We really did just walk on to almost everything. And the weather was SOOO nice. Of course not all years will be the same, but we had temps in the low 80s, sunshine every day, and just a couple evenings when a jacket was in order (as opposed to scarves, hoodies, and gloves during parts of our Feb trip. Also, I am usually one to catch a bug or two during the winter, but Nov seems to be before all the nasties start going around. That could just be me, though.
