Hi, We will be there the same time! ( December 17-22 ) We will spend the first night at the GF(for my Birthday-on the 18th)and then will be at the BCV.It is also my DS's Birthday on the 21st. We have been before at Christmastime, but it was a few years ago and right after Thanksgiving. So I am wondering about CROWD level also?? We are doing MVMCP on the 19th and the CP on the 21st with dinner at Le Cellier. Joan

we have never been then.... what things do we not need to miss??? i am sooo excited! have a teenager so... the parents are the ones who get that way in the house now....LOL :cool1:

Hi, Well I LOVE MVMCP for the atmosphere,Christmas Parade, special shows, special fireworks, characters, and of course the cookies and hot chocolate! :teeth: I also enjoy the Osborne Lights at MGM,just stroll and enjoy! Epcot has the CP,which is so beautiful it will make you cry .Epcot also has storytellers in each coutry. And the resorts are OVER THE TOP decorated! There is a FULL SIZE gingerbread house at the GF that sells treats. The weather can be warm or cold,so be prepared especially when staying late at night in a park.(a warm jacket, gloves and hat may be needed!) My two older children were teens when we last went(they will not be coming this time, both are in college). They still had a GREAT time!! And my youngest DS is turning 13 and I am turning 50! That is pretty much the reason for this trip. Our Birthdays are so close to Christmas, that about 2 years ago I promised my DS this SPECIAL Birthday trip. My DH will be coming also. Do you have any ADR's made yet?? And are you planning on attending an MVMCP?? Joan

I have been twice during that very week and both times, found the parks very manageable. I agree with Joan S. During this time of year the weather is very changeable. Keep an eye on the Weather Channel the week before you leave, get started early and enjoy the Osborne Lights! :goodvibes

We will be there the 18-23 and planned on attending the MVMCP on the 19th too! Have you got your tickets yet? I haven't purchased ours yet, just because of the non-refundable thing. We have never been to a Christmas party and are trying to decide if it would be worth it. We are also doing the CP on the 23rd with the character dinner at Garden Grill (I think thats the right name...I'm away from our plans). Do you think a 7 year old will enjoy the CP? This is our first time going at Christmas! :cool1:

I went last year at that time to DLR, and the parks were crowded, but not unmanageable (unless you wanted to walk through Adventureland or get out of the park after the fireworks, lol :teeth: ). I haven't gone to WDW during December in about 2 years so I don't remember very well, but I think it's probably about the same.

As mentioned before, crowds week before Christmas are very managebale. You will still get long lines at the Headliner attractions, but if you get to the parks early enough, you will be ok. DW and I are headed down from the 17-29 for our 9th Christmas in a row!!!!

Have Fun!!!!

We are going 12/13-12/27. We are so excited  We are having our Christmas dinner at Garden Grill. Last year I went the second week of December with just my younger two kids. It was kind of a spur of the moment trip with a friend of mine. This year my whole family is going! I felt so guilty last year :guilty: I can't wait to experience Disney at Christmas with my whole family. I just hope the weather is decent.
