Crowds Seem To Be Picking Up This Week

It may be due to Star Wars Weekend or to the fact that some schools are now out, but the crowds seem to have picked up this past weekend. Not only was MGM crowded, but it seemed to me like an increase across the board.

I've noticed several threads recently talking about how there was no wait for rides. I don't want folks to be disappointed when they get here. That probably won't be the case going forward for awhile.

Hi Peggy,
Thanks for the heads up. I am expecting it to be busy as it is Memorial day weekend-I'm just happy to be "home" with the mouse!
My main concern is the heat! You folks have are having some very hot weather. We are freezing here in NH!! Only 48 degrees and rain or drizzle for 2 weeks now and to continue for the rest of this week.:cold:

Can't wait! 2 days to go.....

By the way Peggy- if in your travels you happen to see 2 12 year old boys with smiles bigger than their faces :hyper: it is because of your wonderful baskets!!

Cheryl, I'll be looking for you as I'm out and about!

It has been hot the last couple of days. It is going to be 92 today. Even though I've been here all along and it has been warm, the last couple of days have been draining for me. I spend too much time in the air conditioning!

Cheryl, I know what you mean about freezing!! We've had 5 lousy weekends in a row here in ME and nothing but rain & clouds for the last 2 weeks. That's partly why we planned our last minute mini-vacation to WDW...we're flying out of MHT Saturday morning and we can't wait for some warm sunshine!! Of course, depending on how bad the heat is Memorial weekend we may decide the rain and cold wasn't so bad after all!! :confused3

We just returned from our trip to WDW, and the increase in the crowds over the weekend was huge. During the week our longest wait was 15 minutes with many walk ons. The weekend was an entirely different story with 45-60 minute waits the norm.

We went during this week last year and it was much more crowded than we thought it would be. I'm sure it was not summer levels, but still pretty crowded. And it was HOT!!!

We just got back also. In the mornings the waits were minimal, but after 12pm the waits were a lot longer. On Friday, 5/20, Pooh had a 60 minutes wait, Dumbo had a 55 minute wait, Peter Pan wait was 60 minutes....this was all around 1pm. The weather was hot all week. We went to the parks in the morning, took an afternoon break and then went back to the parks for dinner and some rides. It was way too hot to spend all day at the parks. The weather report was rain for most of the week and it never rained!!

Much more crowded!!! Wait times for Soarin' yesterday from about 11a-6p were between 70 and 80 minutes! :earseek: :earseek:

That is insane, NO?!

Use fastpass!!!!!!!!!

:cool1: :cool1:

We are staying at AKL,but only going to Sea World and then maybe AK on Friday??? Do you think it will be packed??? Looking on that one website that tell crowd levels.....It says that AK is the park to pick that day??

I am sure it won't be as bad as MK???
