Crowds right now

We are arriving to Disney World on July 19. We have never been at this time of year. How are the crowds right now?

I'm guessing the crowd levels this holiday weekend are higher than what you'll have on July 19th. We often have gone just after the 4th of July through mid July and crowds (to me) are like a 6 or 7 out of 10. Nothing as bad as around Easter or Christmas but still busy. I watched some Disney live streamers on youtube who were at the parks from the 3rd to the 5th and it looked quite crowded!

We are going July 29th-August 6th and I have similar questions! Never been in the summer!

We are here now. Today’s our last day. Crowds have been very manageable. Easy to get extra FP’s and the first hour has been very quiet. Even MK on the 4th (at opening only) was easy to navigate. Such a pleasant park experience compared to our Thanksgiving trip!!

The heat however is brutal. And I say that as a Texan.

Not bad at all even for a holiday. I was expecting the end of the world on the 4th. We breezed right through security and the entrance in less than 5 minutes. Grabbed and modified FPS at MK with ease. No problems.

We just got home today. There from June 28-July 5. Crowds were great. Multiple extra fast passes every day. The longest wait we had was 30 mins. We did get in a line for frozen ride. It stated 55 mins. But was only like 20 mins. We had fast passes for all the big rides. It was a great week

It’s felt like moderate-high crowds to me at the parks and our resort (Poly), at least in comparison to our trip last summer.

If you know how to refresh and you’re willing to be doing that all day you’ll be fine with getting extra FP, though. We have had no problem getting FP. I check as soon as I’ve scanned into the current ride and refresh til I get something else we want. I’ve heard a lot of comments from people in lines who are clearly clueless about getting extra passes. Also, the end of night wait times have been exaggerated in our experience. For instance, last night Thunder said it was a 50 min wait at 9pm. We had FP but could see the standby line was nearly a walk-on.

We traveled the week of July 7 last summer and crowds just felt much lighter. But it’s still manageable right now.

As noted above, the question you asked is not totally what I think you want to know. 4th of July weekend is always nutso. When you go will be busy but manageable. Use a touring plan and fast passes to avoid crowds.

Just got back today from a two week trip. Crowds were light when we arrived on 6/20 and increased starting last weekend as expected for the July 4th crowd. But I think crowds were still very manageable.

Using refresh, we were still able to get FP's for TT, Soarin, and FEA at Epcot on most days, and NRJ at AK on 7/4. We were also able to modify our FP times without much issue. We were at Hollywood Studios on 7/3 and decided to do standby for TSM. Sign said 80 minute wait but ended up being about 45 mins.

But like one of the PP's said, the heat was brutal.

We went in late July 2016 and crowds were the lightest we'd seen them since our trip in January 2009. Last summer we went in late August, and crowds were moderate. We went during July 4th week in 2015 and crowds were heavier, but manageable.

We also arrive on the 19th and we went this same time last year. Crowds were really easy to deal with last year and I’m expecting this year will be pretty similar. The heat doesn’t really bother us, so it works out really well.

We were at MK July 3 and yesterday July 5. I went in expecting the worst, but the crowds were very reasonable. We did not even try to watch the fireworks from the hub on July 3, so that probably helped. Yesterday we did 25 rides and 4 character meet and greets with th long st wait of 30 min. As someone else said, it is hotter than the surface of the sun there. From 12-4 we made an effort to ride indoor rides with air conditioned queues.
