Crowds right now?

Curious,
In the Disney resorts forum most of the people are reporting larger crowds than usual for the first 2 weeks of January. Are any of you feeling the same/ We head down this weekend. Expecting larger crowds on Sunday & Monday due to Martin Luther King's birthday, but hoping crowds thin out after that.

Yes, crowds have been busier than usual for this time of the year. The Marathon has certainly played a role in that and this year Disney gave a free Theme Park admission to each of the 27,000 runners for today - so attendance has been greater today (even though it has rained much of the day). I still expect weekdays to be better than weekends though.
