I have heard crowds seem less than usual for the beginning of July. I am leaving on Friday and was wondering what the crowds are like right now? My family and I expect it to be crowded seeing as this one of the more busy times during the year. thanks!

Curious too since we will be there in 9 days!!!

We went to Epcot last night for Sounds Like Summer Concert, one day after a major holiday by the way, and Extra Magic Hours to boot.

The theater was pretty empty, as was the park.

Notable for their absence, at least to my eyes, are the Brazilians.

This is great in the short run for the average visitor, but not so great in the long run.

Economically, things are very tough out there, and maybe getting tougher.

We just left this morning. We thought the crowds were lower than they usually are this time of year. Yesterday was BB. We didn't wait longer than 15 minutes for the ski lift or any slide. Summit Plummit was one hour all
day. MK last night. 90 min for Space Mountain, 45-60 for most others. Quest had low crowds. 15 minutes and under for attractions there.

We were in Epcot on Monday. The park was pretty empty and we were able to ride Soarin at rope drop and then again w/ FP's. World Showcase was very low crowds all day.

There were Brazilian tour groups there on Monday, but maybe just one to three groups. They were very well behaved teenagers IMO.

I pray to the sweet baby Jesus for this to remain in this state until I get there in two weeks. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I don't think so... They are all watching the soccer World Cup now, and they were of course counting on being in the Final, which they will not, but no self-respecting Brazilian would plan to be in Disney during World Cup...
The World Cup Final is this coming Sunday, so they would come after that...

Is that bad? Why? I'm going the week after too... :scared1:

LOL :rotfl2:

Just came back from a week in WDW (June 25th to July 2nd). There seemed to be quite a few people in the parks, but the lines were not long (except TSM!).

With the use of fast passes and arriving at the parks by 10am, we never waited more than 30 minutes for anything (again accept TSM:laughing:). We did utilize EMH at night and found most of the big attractions (Space Mt, Splash Mt., BT Mt, Buzz, Soarin, Test Track, ToT and RnR) were almost walk-on's. In the morning's EMH at MK, we walked on Pooh, Snow White and Peter Pan, this was unheard of on our last July Disney trip in 2006.

Definately not as many tour groups as in the past, only had to avoid one or two (quickly walking past them as we got off the buses:lmao:) Watch out for those large (more than 20) groups of matching shirts!!!!! LOL

When people talk about an attraction being a walk on or almost walk on what does it mean? Because I also hear that waits were only 30 or 45 minutes and to me that is very long wait indeed! :scared1:

I consider a 'walk on' where you walk through the que line without stopping to wait at all, the line is moving consistently.

I consider a 30 min or less wait very reasonable in mid summer. In most attractions there is so much to see even in the que line, it goes fast.

Most of the times on our trip last week, if the sign said 30 min wait we got on the ride in much less time. We found almost all the signs were a little over exaggerated in the ride wait time....except TSM, it said 70 min wait and my BIL and DS waited ....70 min.

we were at MK this morning and I think the tour groups are obnoxious....loud clapping and singing and way too many of them. we just trying to avoid them except they were everywhere! this is the first time we have experienced them and hopefully, the last.

We just got done spending 10 days in the World (June 22-26 and July 2-6.) MK was closed on the 4th, but besides that it was no more crowded than when we were there in mid-May 2009. Not too bad even with our double-wide stroller. DHS seemed a little crowded last night, but this is the first trip I have visited there (since it was MGM anyway) and have nothing recent to compare it to.
