For those of you just back, how are the crowds? Specifically MK on Thursday and Epcot on Friday? We leave in a few days and just want to be mentally prepared for the crowds.

Also, how's the line for the Mission Space mild side? I am planning on getting a FP for TT on the way to the Princess breakfast, then getting a Maelstrom FP after breakfast and then going on MS. That way we can use our FPs for later in the day.

Thanks for any info.

We also go to MK on Thursday and EPCOT on Friday of this week, so I am interested as well.

I was there first 8/3-8/13. we rode both mission space and we both agreed that either one was ok to ride. Even though you don't do the spinning on the milder one you still feel almost the same feeling. Someone posted that they just tilt the thing back. The line for the milder was only five minutes and they posted the other one as 20 minutes but when you get up to the front there was really no wait for either. Also it was walk on for maelstrom.

Have a great time. If you see a mom, dad and 5year-old blondie wearing crocs and lime green, give us a shout.

Is a FP for Maelstrom really necessary? In all my trips, I dont think I have ever seen more than 10 people on this ride at any given time...

What rides in Epcot really do need a FP other than TT? If Maelstrom and MS green-side don't require FP, what FPs should I get? I love Soarin', but I can go to DL anytime and ride it. I want to make sure to do all the WDW only rides.

Any suggestions?

We will be there Friday so I am curious about the crowds also. Did they get better since more kids went back to school this week?

For the OP...if your asking people who just got back, how will they know about this Thurs and Fri?? :)

OK...just got back, crowds were fairly large, but managable. Saw waits of over an hour on a number of the headliners, and of course Peter Pan in mid-afternoon was around 60 minutes. We never waited longer than 20 minutes for anything, though. (Ironically, Maelstrom was our longest wait...go figure... :) ) It wasn't hard avoiding lines, IMO.

M:S lines were pretty short for both sides. On our last morning there, the green line was actually longer than the orange one when we got in it. Rode it three times (2 times green, 1 orange) and never waited longer than 10 minutes.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll stick to my FP for TT and wing the rest.

See you in the world.
