Crowds right after New Year's?

We will be coming of a New Years cruise in Port Canaveral on Jan 2 (Sun) and have rsvps for CR from the 2-4. My husband was unable to join my dad and I for my 2 yr old's first trip last month so we thought what a perfect op for him to come this time when we are so close. Anyone share my thinking that it wont be too crowded since it's after the holidays and school would be starting the next day? Or am I completely wishing it was that way? Thanks!

Well ... New Year's Day is on a Saturday in 2005, which means that the crowds will definitely continue through Sunday and maybe even Monday (if Monday becomes the official New Year "holiday" in 2005).

I'd say that your logic would work if Jan 1 was on a weekday, but it's likely to be a lot different with the holiday falling on a weekend.
