crowds over next 5 days

super bummed about the weather. We just got our Delux annual passes at the end of last month. We were hoping to go again before Dec. blockout dates. This weather here in So. Cal has been so weird!

I am wondering if they cancel all parades when it rains like this....headed there today for a 3 night stay....

They have, for the safety of the performers. I'm so miserable with this rain! grrr. I may brave the rain today and check for cheapy rainboots at Target just in case it does stay nasty over Christmas.

Very light crowds today. Well, it was quite wet as well! I think I saw at the most 25 minute waits, but when we arrived early this AM, we walked on every ride. Unfortunately, no Fantasmic tonight. That was a bit of a bummer as we had planned on the Fantasmic Dessert tonight :( One sad, and soaking wet daughter!!!

Oh no! We booked the Fantasmic dessert for tomorrow evening. Did they offer a refund?

Today was miserable. We went to DCA in hopes that tomorrow will be somewhat drier. 12-2 was nice. We did Bug's Life rides for my 4 year old, and some other things, during that time. Mickey's Fun Wheel was like the North Pole. The wind up there when you are already wet ... horrid.

Aladdin was awesome though. I'm glad we got to see that again. Turtle Talk with Crush was fun, we'd never managed to make time for it.

We gave up a little after four after huddling under some columns in the pouring rain to eat churros.

Hopefully Marris Pizza, recommended in another thread, is decent since you couldn't pry me out of my dry, warm room with a crow bar now!

In retrospect, I wish we'd canceled our trip and just lost $ for our 1st night hotel. Last night the local weather said "biggest storm in 10 years." Yay. And after our September trip (new record for heat, 113). I'm pretty done.

Bump!

Anyone else there this week (especially today) that can let us know how things are going?

Maybe we should build and ark and float around D-land? :rotfl2:

Yes, build away, I'll help! It was bad today. It was more the wind I think. Disney does a great job of taking care of puddles. Umbrellas were useless, it was entertaining to watch people try to control them, though.

We have been at the park on Sunday (19), and Monday (20), with one more day to go. It has not been good, tons of rain and then today heavy rain with wind. We did buy ponchos before we got to the park but it got to the point were we went out and bought new rain proof pants.

We were all prepared with our ridemax, and had the plan ready to go but we threw that out the window since the we just started to go with what the weather throws at us. For me as long as you have the right gear you will be fine, this storm is one of the largest the area has had so we are just making the best of it.

Also Target, Big 5, and Walmart were cleaned out of all their rain great in the last couple of days that are down the street from Disneyland.

I am new to the boards but will try to get some pictures up.

Argh! Sounds crazy! And with this, what are the crowds/lines like? I can handle the bad weather, but bad weather and crowds would send me over the edge. :P

We just returned from the weekend. It was incredible with all of the rain! Sunday was empty in the park!! We did our Holiday Tour and had a blast with Alex our guide. We just laughed about the rain that was coming down in buckets! Today we were there until about 1:00. It was crazy busy! And the wind was awful. I'm sending pixiedust to all of you who are there now:wizard:

We just got back. We were in the parks all day Saturday and Sunday and left around 1pm today to catch our flight back to the bay area.

It was wet, windy, and pretty crappy weather over all. Ponchos or rain jackets and rain shoes are a MUST! My mom and I bought rain boots, but I ended up giving mine to my cousins who came with us because they were really unprepared shoe wise - vans and uggs! Our jeans and shoes were soaked every day. We came back mid-day to change into dry clothes and then went back out. Luckily our upper half stayed dry under the ponchos.

There were definitely still lines, though definitely not as long as they could have been. Indy and Space always seemed to be in the 45-60 minute range, Toy Story was at least 30-40, Soarin around 30, the outside rides had shorter lines (Screamin, Matterhorn). I'm not sure about HMH because we did that on the tour and didn't have to wait. I think the line was about 30 minutes.

Umbrellas were everywhere, so even if there crowds were lower, it was still crazy. People were hovering at the entrance to almost every store, and that got annoying pretty quickly trying to maneuver around people who were opening/closing/shaking out umbrellas. I almost lost it this morning in line to see Rapunzel as people kept shaking/dumping their umbrellas in line not paying attention to anyone around them. Umbrellas out in the streets are fine, but in the switchback lines for rides, they are not fun at all. I got whacked in the head with an umbrella so many times I stopped counting and then had rain just dumped on my head even more times.
