Crowds over MLK Week-end...is FOTL pass necessary?

Anyone know what we can anticipate for crowds over MLK week-end? We are debating changing to an off-site hotel, but don't know if the FOTL benefit will be a deal breaker.

You should always wait until you arrive to purchase the Express Plus passes. Wait and see what the lines are like before you spend the money.

They aren't really purchasing express passes Metro, they are staying onsite and debating if with the crowd levels, if it would be okay to move offsite. I personally love staying onsite for ALL the conviences so I would stay unless you really just want to save money

If Universal crowds are anything like Disney crowds over MLK weekend, I would definitely opt for staying on site with FOTL. Haven't been to Universal during that time, but was at WDW 2 years ago over MLK weekend & it was crazy busy!

Definitely big crowds that weekend. But as was mentioned, wait until you get there to purchase FOTL passes.
