We are thinking of going down on Wednesday night Oct 6th and staying through Tuesday October 12th. How bad will the crowds be, anyone been there during that time?

I remember a few years back seeing a chart on the official Disney website with historical park attendance figures on it. I can't find it now, anyone know where to find this information?

thanks!

Oh man! From looking at that chart, the wait times for that weekend last year was the worst for the entire year!
Maybe we should reconsider......

We've gone the past 3 years over Columbus weekend and plan on doing so this one also. The crowds are not bad. The most we had to wait for any ride was 15 minutes.

We are going from Wed. Oct 6 - Sunday Oct 10th!! First trip in four years! Going crazy trying to figure out which day to go where, though. Don't want to get up early on Wed, so was thinking MK on Thursday, since it is open later that day, but then I realized that is EE day. So will it be really busy that day? Plus Friday is MNSSHP, so I'm afraid it will be more busy during the day because of that, And, then, everyone says avoid it on weekends...

Then Epcot, everyone says to avoid on weekdays because of the school groups, but the Food & Wine festival is on, so people are saying it will be crowded on weekends!!

This is getting difficult!

Also, when everyone says it will be "busy" - what does that translate into? I don't mind waits of 20-30 minutes for a ride, but beyond that gets a little more tiring. Are the waits in this time period likely to be more than that?

On Saturday, there is a Susan G. Komen 5K race at WDW. Then on Sunday, there is a 10K race from Epcot, through Disney Studios and on to Wide World of Sports.

Do the races affect the attendance of the theme parks? And does the Susan G Komen race start/end in one of the parks? Thanks for the info!
