Trying to figure out the best week to go to WDW during these months. I know not Thanksgiving or Christmas break because of crowds. Is there anything special going on mid Oct. that would increase crowds. We have fall break at that time. I would love early Dec. for the Christmas decorations, but is it crowded then?

I've "heard" that early December is a great time to go. (You know the trick...go when there are NO holidays in sight!) As far as your fall break---

I got this info off of the allears website:
October 2011
Epcot
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival - September 30 through November 13, 2011.
Magic Kingdom
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party - dates to be announced.
D23 - the Official Disney Fan Club
October 14-15: Sip & Stroll at Epcot in Orlando - As part the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, D23 is once again hosting their annual Sip & Stroll event exclusive to D23 Members. More details will be announced in 2011. Details and ticket sales will be announced on the D23 Web site.

Have a wonderful trip! :flower3:

In Mid Oct there are lots from the UK because their school break is at that time. We've been the first two or three weeks of Nov for the last few years and have found the week before the full week of Thanksgiving has low crowds and the Christmas decorations are up at Disney. :thumbsup2

We were there from October 24 to Nov 5 th this past fall and it was BEAUTIFUL. The weather was nice, warm but not humid at all. Some evenings we needed a light jacket but other then that, we swam every day even some evenings. The crowds were really low in my opinion since we had pretty much all walk on line ups except for the traditional Dumbo, Peter pan and soaring attractions. Seriously, if it was for me, I would always go at that time of year.
