We have a quick surprise birthday trip nov.12-16 for my son. How crowded can I expect it to be during this time?

That should be one of the quieter weeks of the year. Plus the weather should be good and there should be no major ride closures, beyond Space Mountain.

Yeah crowds should be pretty much a nonissue. Even if you are going to a nonideal park for that given day. This doesn't mean there won't be lines, but comparatively speaking it should be a very calm week

We will also be there from Nov. 11-16 and it looks like it should be a pretty quiet week. The one thing I am curious about is the PGA golf tournament that is also at WDW that weekend. Anyone have any experience with going during the golf tournamnet and how that might affect crowd levels?

We leave for WDW monday morning (11/9), and as of today there are still available rooms at every single hotel on-property that I checked.

That bodes well for smaller-ish crowds...

I'm losing it!

:hippie:

We're going from the 13th to the 16th!:goodvibes I'm excited to hear that. My dh was just asking me if I had read anything about crowd levels. I'm so excited!

We just came back !!/2, and we had no crowds!! It was great!

We have been there when A PGA tour was there, I don't think that it affected the crowds at all! It was fun to watch for Tiger as our bus was driving past!

Thanks for the info lake queen. Hopefully crowds will be low!

We are there 11/14-11/19...woot woot...single digits!

I'm right there with you hickchick! 6 more days!!:cool1:

The crowds won't be much of an issue, I don't think.

We'll be there, too, so you can count on rain. Especially in the Magic Kingdom on the night of the 13th. I've pre-purchased hard tickets for MVMCP. ...There Will Be Rain.

Wow, I was pretty excited by all the comments the crowd levels. We have always traveled during the summer and xmas times both which are always packed. Now, I was hoping to do MVMCP on 11/13, but if it's going to rain I might just wait and see while we are there.

So, I assume disney is already decorated for xmas?

We'll be at MK on 11/13 too! It's my birthday! princess:

We arrive at WDW on 11/11. I can't believe our trip is finally (almost) here! :lovestruc

We arrive on the 14th to the 22nd...cant wait...we usually go in early Dec...but the wife could get off work in Dec...so we still wanted to see Christmas decorations...so we decided this time and I have heard from 2 people. one being a Disney expert and both said its a great time to go

Actually, we will have a hurricane that week.:rotfl: I went on a cruise with my best friend last year over Labor Day and what did we have - a hurricane that messed up our itinerary. Taking same friend and her family to WDW next week and what pops up in the Caribbean (in the beginning of November no less) a hurricane! I'm just planning on it hitting Florida while we are there so that way I'll be happy when it doesn't. I told my best friend I wasn't taking her to South Florida anymore!

We leave the 12th-22nd, I can't believe that crowds WON"T be a problem...every time that I have called to change an ADR, it's always that's booked, that's booked--I'm just talking about changing times--I already have everything booked, I hope that it isn't going to be too crowded--or crowded at ALL--maybe it will just be me & my family there--oh wait-sorry daydreaming again, and yes I had my room in the castle of course!:lmao:

LOL, that's like my luck. With the both of us making plans, rain is certain.

In fact, I've been predicting rain on that night for months. ::yes::

It has rained for EVERY SINGLE hard ticket event for which I pre-purchased tickets. There was one where it may not have rained...I had to cancel the trip due to illness in the family, so they may have been spared.

Yeah but they can only fit so many people in resturants...with Disney offering the free dining...more people that may have stayed offsite are staying onsite to take advantage...Just because ADRs are full does not mean the lines for rides will be long....Cinderellas breakfast fills up every day of the year a does resturants like Le Cellier. For the record I have easily changes my Sci Fi lunch from a friday to a wed but I can change my Le Cellier from Wed to Friday...I easily got che Chef de france last week for lunch and i also got Crystal Palace last week....we are going on the 14th ov Nov...I fully expect crowds to be minimal...try booking online...its great and you can see what is available and what is not....Oh I can also still book the HDD and Luau and of an hour ago

What happens to the MVMCP if it does rain? Do they just cancel the parades and fireworks or do they cancel the entire party? Do they give out refunds? :confused3

I am a newbie but I agree with this. I have had a reservation at about 75% of Disney restaurants at some point :rotfl: and I have yet to find a restaurant with absolutely no availability. Well except maybe Le Cellier, but I haven't tried that. I have booked and rebooked and cancelled the following:

Chefs de France, Coral Reef, Sci Fi, 50s Prime Time, Boma, Sanaa, Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia, Biergarten, Akershus, Tokyo Dining, Mama Melrose, Liberty Tree Tavern, The Plaza, Ohana, Kona Cafe, The Wave, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, Rose and Crown, Tusker House, T-Rex, and Yak and Yeti.

I even adjusted my ADRs last week - I changed the date of my Coral Reef reservation (for the fifth time) and got a dinner-time reservation, I switched Akershus from lunch to breakfast, booked Mama Melrose (and canceled it and booked Sci Fi) for lunch, added Biergarten for dinner, and changed my Sanaa and The Wave reservation.
