Hey there!

We are planning on being in the parks Monday-Friday next week. I see that AP blockouts are still in affect, but does anyone have any insight as to what crowd levels typically are mid-August? Are most kids in the area going back to school, etc? I know it's going to be busy cause it's summer, but just hoping it's not going to be another 10/10 week again.

Thanks in advance for any advice! :)

This is our third year in a row going in mid-August. (We are here now, one week earlier than the past two years.) IME, as long as you do not go the week the passes are unblocked, you will experience big but not horrible crowds. This week has been pretty crowded, but still very doable if you start early, collect FPs and take a break (or visit the rides/attractions that generally have short or no lines) around midday. There also seems to be a little lull in the late afternoon/early evening, but the crowds build right back up around 7:00 or so. I do recall the year we went when passes were unblocked and it was so bad a few nights that we just left. Nothing like that now. Hope you have great weather, low crowds and a fantastic trip! :)

Thanks for your post! We're going to be in the parks M-T-W next week and I've been hoping the parks wouldn't be completely wall-to-wall people. This gives me a bit of hope .....

It is rare to have "wall-to-wall" people in the summer. That happens at Christmas and New Years.
