We have a pair of free airline tickets and have the annual passes and thinking of trying a weekend trip during this time. What are the crowds like? Is it doable? Opinions please.

One of the slowest times of the year. Go and enjoy! We'll see you there if you go early to mid-Feb.!

Agree with Belle5. We've gone down
several years at this time. Will be there
1/23. Biz Conferences/ Conventions inflate the numbers, but the parks are generally not crowded. The weather can
be in the 50 - 60 range during the day and chilly at night, but can also warm up to the 70s. Being from CT , shorts are still in order during this time ....just bring the fleece or sweathshirt.

We love this time of year at WDW and the fall (glad we didn't go this year!) We have had from 80 degree temps to frost on the ground. We come prepared - mittens clothes we can layer etc

We are trying our kids spring break this year - we may regret it with the crowds...

We go every year around January 14th. It is a great time to go. There are no crowds. This year (2005) there is the National Association of Home Builders trade show in Orlando. I am not sure how the crowds will be. The trade show starts Thursday 1-13-05 and runs through Sunday the 16th. We will be starting our trip on Monday the 17th since I will already be down there for the trade show. I am hoping everyone will go to WDW the before the trade show since it starts on thursday.

Yep, no crowds! We went this past January, last weekend in Jan., and MK on Sat. AND Sun. was actually slow! It was incredible. And though it rained a fair amount (cut down the crowds even more), by Sun. afternoon it was very warm and we were down to short sleeves. :sunny:

We've been a few times in February and will be there early Feb 05. Never very crowded. Just a lot of nuts in purple, green and gold! Presidents' Day weekend is mid February and that will be crowded, however.

Martin Luther King weekend (January) can be crowded. As others have mentioned, the weather can be highly variable. In Jan 2003 there were two days that the temps were about 30 degrees at dawn when I went out running.
