How are the crowds mid-May through early June. With the exception of Memorial Day weekend? Are they very heavy after MMW? We're undicided if we should go before or after Memorial weekend.

Our friends went before Memorial Day, we went after. Based on our discussion of the crowds, go before. Lots of schools in the south get out the Friday before Memorial Day, so I think that makes a difference.

We have gone for three years in a row in early May. Since schools in the South get out the end of May I would avoid that if you can, only to avoid the crowds. Two years in a row we were there for Mothers Day, and that weekend was very crowded. This year we were there the first week in May and it was not too bad. Try to plan your trip for after Easter break but before Mothers Day weekend and I think you will be fine. :cool1:

We just went May 5 - 10 and it was amazing!!! We have always gone in June and this time, the weather was nice and there wasn't hardly any crowds! We never waited over 25 minutes to ride anything!!!! And, most things we literally only waited 10 minutes.

And yes, schools here tend to get out around Memorial Day, so that will jump crowd size up a bunch!

We were there the week of May 19 and have to say it was one of our best trips ever. The closer we got to Memorial Day weekend you could see the crowd level rising. But like a pp said we never waited in line more than 20 minutes!
Either time you decide to go have a great trip!!!!!

We went on tuesday after the memorial day holiday. We thought it was smart to go after but the crowds were the very worst I had seen in my previous 3 trips.

I would say go before and never after memorial day. Then stay away until after Sept. 1.

It was so crowded and the people were not always so nice. It was uncomfortable for us to be so close to so many people and some were just rude and mean.

Have been there before the 3 week of June...hated it...hayed the heat and humidity and the crowds were awful....will never go back at that time of year again

We were there the same time as you :)
It was wonderful! There were lots of people in the park but the lines were not bad at all!
The weather this year was perfect! I am not sure if it is always like that in May but it was beautiful for us!

We just went from May 6-12 (came back day before Mother's Day). The MK and MGM were very quiet. There were little to no lines on most rides. We had no wait on Pirates, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder... All the big ones with no wait on a Sunday! It was great!!!

AK and Epcot were packed both days we visited. We went to AK on a Monday & Thursday and Epcot on a Tuesday and Saturday. We hit lines at every turn! We have heard the AK has been drawing large crowds, so make use of the early hours if you can. We understand that Epcot had more traffic because of the flower show they have there every spring. It was nice seeing the flowers and the butterfly garden but not worth the long lines it created! I don't know if it was the week we went or the way it is during the entire flower show.

Good news is the weather was wonderful. Mid-80's every day and no rain (well twice for 20 minutes-not bad).

Ditto for me ANY time in early June. The crowds weren't bad at all (except MGM because of Star Wars Weekend), but it was just miserably hot and humid. We had a few morning showers, which just made it steamier!

Just went last month. May 13-19. It was awesome! Great weather - mid 80's during the day, cooled off into the 70's in the evenings. Never waited more than 15 minute for anything!! Space Mtn. wait time said 20 minutes, got inside and it was less than 5! We arrived on Mother's Day, but didn't go to a park that day, went to DTD instead. So don't know about the crowds at the parks that day, but the rest of the week was great!!

We went 5/25-6/2, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared. I'd say Sunday of M-Weekend was the heavies crowds we saw, and the weather wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either.

We'll probably go the same time next year!
