Crowds leaving before MNSSHP

We will be at MK on an MNSSHP day in early Sept. A few from our group are staying for the party and the rest of us will be leaving to go back to the Grand Floridian around 6:00/6:30.

Are the crowds leaving at this time like late night closing time crowds? We normally wait around post fireworks to let the park clear out but waiting around is obviously not an option with the party starting.

Are we going to be part of a giant herd leaving and headed to the resort monorail?

At least the ariving and leaving are not shoehorned through the 1 and only security checkpoint
