Crowds, just curious

Haven't heard or seen anything. just wondering how the crowds are now that GE is open. did the masses show up or is there a decrease in what Disney was hoping to see. Checking the wait times it doesn't seem to be that bad

Check out crowd levels in a couple of weeks time when there is no threat of a hurricane looming.

Opening day had a 5 hour wait at 6a - at 9a it was 3 hours. Disney used their Boarding Pass option and it seems to be managing crowds well. Locals are reporting that crowd levels are very low at the parks overall the last few days but the hurricane seems to be effecting things at least a bit.

Last week was one of the least crowded trips I've had. On the opening day of GE, we practically walked on to flights of passage at 10am. Smugglers Run went down to 75 minutes by late afternoon. Magic Kingdom on the 30th had almost no waits above 20 minutes outside of 7DMT and Peter Pan (although it was also a rainy day and a MNSSHP day).

But as other's have said, I think a lot of people adjusted travel plans to avoid the hurricane.

Sounds like fear of large crowds is keeping people away. add the hurricane some may have canceled. you had a great week

If you are planning a trip this year, I think it's going to be difficult to judge what the crowds will be like because of folks rescheduling their trips due to the hurricane. I remember the last major September hurricane appeared to boost crowd levels in the weeks following through early December due to folks pushing their trips out. And around the time it would level out RoTR would be open which would throw another variable into the mix.
