We have done two trips the first week in December...which I LOVE :lovestruc ...no crowds...Disney Christmas Magic...mild weather.

I digress

My question is this...How are crowds in early October? We have a 'fall break' usually the first or second week. Our boys are getting too old to miss a whole week of school/activities ;)

Also...how is the weather that time of year for anyone who has been at that time?

We have been there two times during early October and find the weather to be great. Have gone swimming and worn shorts all week. Alittle cooler in the evening sometimes. The crowds have been very manageable with alittle more on the weekends. The MNSSHP is a must!

The weather is great! :sunny: As a matter of fact, we stayed at FW Campgrounds for 5 nights a couple of years back (yes, no air) and it was quite nice. As far as the crowds go, it is a little more busy in October than the first week of December.

I have been going to Disneyworld at the end of October for the past eight years and I love it. The crowds are mild to moderate, the weather is in the 80's and sunny, little humidity, and very little rain if at all. The room rates for Disney proerty hotels are great with the discount codes. Also, in October I love the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT.

I was at WDW during the first week of Ocotber in 2004 and we did experience hot weather. Highs were in the low 90s when we were there...we did have one or two days where it wasn't hot, I wouldn't go as far as to compare it to the summer heat, but it was warm (which was fine with me). Crowd levels seemed to be higher (I think more people are taking advantage of fall breaks (Columbus Day Weekend), food and wine, MNNSHP, etc). Lines were not that bad...some times things were walk-ons and other times we had to wait.

We have a Fall Break the first full week of October and have gone to WDW the last two years in a row. It is a great time to go. The weather is warm/hot, but not unbearable. The crowds are average; using EMH and fast pass, we could see and do all the attractions and still take a 2 to 3 hour break in the afternoon.

Epcot has the Food and Wine Festival, and MK has MNSSHP. Both are terrific. I think October is the best time to go!
