Crowds in October Half term

Shorts and T's mainly. Weather can be variable, usualy like a warm English Summer, not too humid. You still can get sticky hot and thundery weather and we have had down to about 10 at night, 18 in the day so a fleece for morning and a jacket for nights might be an idea.

We went 3 years ago and the weather was great the only ride we couldn't try was Toy Story even fast passes were gone by 11 am. This year we will go to an extra magic hours morning and head straight to it and I know the plans say avoid parks on these days but on the day we went we did Peter Pan,buzzLightyear,Mickeys Philharmagic ,speedway ,stitch ride and monsters inc had a late breakfast and headed back to hotel and spent the rest of the day at the quiet pool!one suggestion though our daughter was 5 1/2 and we ended up buying a stroller from hotel shop and gave it to someone else before leaving - there not cheap about $90 but it was the best money we spent so you might want to buy a cheap one and pass it on.hope you have great holiday!

Hi , I am going in October too and just wondered what the weather is like ? Not sure what to pack .

We've always bar one trip found the weather to be fantastic. Couple of years ago it rained non stop in the middle weekend of our trip. It poured down day and night.
I take a light cardi or pashmina for night time as the air con on the buses and in some of the restaurants can be cold when the temps did at night.
Day time hot and sunny so shorts and t shirts are perfect.

I had no idea that Columbus Day made any difference. DRAT! That is when we will be there, I though I was picking a nice quiet week.

It must be perception and reports and definitions of 'busy' depend largely on who you speak to and what time of year they are comparing it to. We've been there over Columbus Day twice (2010 and 2011) and didn't feel that weekend was any different to the rest of the nearly three weeks we were there on each of those respective trips. In 2010 we were at MK on Columbus Day and although it did feel more crowded, the wait times and ease of getting into CS restaurants, ordering etc weren't really any worse than they had been the 2 weeks prior.
