Crowds in mid September

We are going to be in WDW Sept 16 - 24. Does any one know how crowded it gets during that time?

We will be there at the same time 14-21st. We generally go in Sept because the crowds tend to be lighter. However, with the Fairy Tale Pkg it will probably be much more busy, but still not as busy as summer.

We were there last year the 8th-13th and will be there the 13th - 20th this year. My understanding is that there is little difference between the week we were there - and when you are inquiring about.

Crowds were non-exhistant (at least compared to what I read about summer crowds). Most rides were "walk-on" to less than 5 minutes wait. We only ran into a couple of attractions (Safari, and Test Track) where we waited about 25 - 30 minutes. We very rarely rode busses that were full (a couple of nights we did have full busses when we rode from the park at closing time). Now, we were there last year over the anniversary of 9-11, so that may have kept some folks away - but from reading other peoples reports from previous years.... September is always slow (as long as you don't go Labor Day).

I anticipate that this year the "Fairytale Package" will make it substantially more crowded with "resort" traffic - but that remains to be seen. I was told last year that ASMo was at 39% capacity when we were there. I am pretty sure it is sold out this year (we had to make a reservation change at ASMo & could not be guaranteed a room there - so we decided on Port Orleans Riverside).

I am still pretty confident that it will be one of the best times of the year to go - as far as crowds are concerned.

Remember however.... that is the HOTTEST time to go - and we had several storms roll through. Pack LOTS of sunscreen & bring ponchos at all times.

In agreement--low crowds, relatively speaking.
We've gone in Sept. almost every year since 1975. Crowds have increased as more and more folks become aware that it is a great time to go. But still very manageable by WDW standards.

We'll be there for the BIG September pin event at EPCOT, September 19-21. A huge Pin Event at EPCOT for 3 DAYS!! This is our 3rd year in a row. Lots of people, lots of lines, lots of pins. This is a private event held at the World Showcase at EPCOT. Lots of locals attending too. We will be at A/S Movies September 18-24.

September is one of the best months to go for lack of large crowds at any of the parks. Weather is still Hot as in summer but the crowds are way down from the summer.

This will be our 5th year of going in September. We always go either the 2nd or 3rd week. The crowds have always been great. A lot of rides have been walk-ons & some we could ride a second time again without getting off. The weather is usually hot & humid but the size of the crowds make it worth it. Also a lot of showers but they usually only last a few minutes & then it clears back up again. I would highly recommend September.
