Crowds in mid-October?

I'm sure others will post that last year or a few years ago they were not too bad. But after 10 years in a row for October for us, the level of crowds seem to be growing. Often rooms are hard to get in mid to late October too. While it may be crowded, I find the weekends are the worse. During the week you should be OK. The locals will be at the MNSSHPs on Fridays mostly and they will be at EPCOT for food and wine on the weekends. Use fasspass and make some advance dining reservations and have fun. We are there Oct. 20-31.

I'm interested in opinions on this, too. This will be our first Oct trip (13-21). I thought I was booking a low-crowd week, but I've been hearing that Oct is busy due to 'year-round' schools having breaks in Oct. We usually go the first week of Dec and love the crowd level. I hope we are not disappointed.
