Crowds in Mid-January?

Do crowds get pretty bad in the 1st and 2nd week of January?

Last year 3rd week of January, mid-week on a very nice weather day - the parks were empty. Many rides were walk-on, the longest wait I saw posted was 10 minutes - although I did not ride the new coaster as our kids were too small to ride. I would think Harry Potter will effect the crowds this January, but I think this is probably the slowest month of the year crowd-wise.
