Our trip is being moved to May18th-25th. Am I going to run into lots of crowds? I was trying to avoid Memorial Day travel but we don't have many other options. I'm worried about the lines/crowds that week, or is it worse the following week or just over the weekend of Memorial Day? We went in May before and it was perfect:) Great weather and low crowds! I looked online at a WDW crowd calender and it shows yellow for the month of May except Memorial Day weekend. This is out third trip w/ the kids but first for just us(in-laws came the other two times) I want it to be as perfect as can be! We went last in on April break and the crowds were horrible! Is it worth us switching to May 25th-June 1st? Or even June 1st-8th? Or will crowds be similar then too?? Thanks and sorry for all the questions...I did post about this before but the site won't let me search for it?!

That is the same week we will be in Disney. You should be fine for the week, obviously the weekend that you leave it will start to get fairly crowded. But by that time you will be done!

The more you push it back the hotter it will get. So you will have to deal with that. But again I think you will be fine. Just use FastPass' for the rides you really want to see. And now with the new restrictions on FastPass' you should really be ok getting on the attractions you want to see.

Now rain....thats a whole other story :goodvibes

We went during May with crowd levels around 5 (seemed much busier on some days) but we were able to do everything we wanted with little waiting. At MK, we did Dumbo, Barnstormer, Teacups, Pooh, PP, IASW, Speedway, Buzz, Monsters Inc and had FP's for PP again by 12 noon. All with waits less than 5 mins. The weather was hot and humid, so we took afternoon breaks. I think you will be just fine! Have a great trip!

Thanks! That's great to hear:) I've been so stressed picking the best week for our trip, we have so many different things to work around! One thing I meant to add in my post was does anyone know if plane tickets will be more expensive b/c we are flying home on Memorial Day? I was debating on adding a few extra days:lovestruc to our trip and fly home early Tuesday to avoid higher travel prices...WDYT??

We were there from May 23rd till June 2nd of 2011. Up until Memorial day weekend, the crowds were very manageable. We barely waited for anything.

We've gone in May a few times, just having gotten back from a trip. :cool1: I'm always surprised at how many folks don't get up and get going in May! To me, it's easier to get out of bed and go with the earlier sun-up, but it must not have the same effect on others. Last Thursday, for instance, we were in MK from 8 - 11 a.m, and were heading out when the first real wave of folks were heading in.

I hope you have a very enjoyable trip!:wizard:

:wave2: We will be there those exact dates too! I'm guessing this is for next year based on your ticker? I'll report back on the crowds when we return.

A lot of Dis'ers will be there I gather...COUNT ME IN TOO!! 1 week from today!!

At this time next week I will be at POP!!!!!!

We just got back yesterday. The crowds over the weekend were nonexistent. We did all 4 parks in 3 days and still had plenty time to relax. The longest wait we had for any ride was 20 minutes.

That's good to hear :cool1: We leave in 3 days...hoping for small crowds and nice weather:worship:

I hope this holds true! Our theory was that people wouldn't want to pull their kids out of school so close to the end (as they are taking finals and such). We are going because my son's last day of preschool was today, big trip before kindergarten next year :)
See all of you next week!!

We are having thunderstorms this week (starting on Monday) so I'm thinking that next week, the weather should be a lot nicer.

Have you looked at WDWeasy for suggestions on which parks to go to each day or is it already determined because of dining reservations or extra magic hours?

I've been going to the parks for the past month on and off and it just seems like for some rides like Toy Story, you just need to go early in the day and get a fast pass and ride standby as soon as it opens if you want to ride it twice.

Other rides like Tower of Tower, you could just walk right on.

The usual suspects in Fantasyland were always busy and needed fastpasses.

I'm really glad to hear the crowds are manageable this time of year. This was the only time we can go when it's not going to be brutally hot. My daughter's school is very strict about absences so we didn't feel right pulling her out of school in the fall for a trip.

I'm going to be there May 29 - June 4!
