Crowds in May compared with crowds in Sept??

Sorry to ask a question that I'm sure has been asked a million times before, but I can never get the search feature to work!
We just returned two weeks ago from our first family trip to WDW. We were there Sept 10-14, and the crowds were very low--which was great! We're already planning for a return trip in a year or two, this time with my Mom and Dad as well. The problem we're having is deciding WHEN to go!

I would like to go May 2008, for the simple reason that all 3 of our kids will still be in pre-school at that point. So obviously missing a week of school would be a non-issue. Although I'm not against taking them out of Elementary school, I'd prefer not to if possible. Also--May would be great because my Dad is very much into gardening--I know he would like to see the Flower and Garden show.

Dh would prefer to go September 2008, since it was such low crowds our past visit. Neither one of us are "crowd people", and dh in particular will go to all costs to avoid crowds! September would be great for me too--except in 2008 our twins will have just started Kindergarten. I'd prefer for them not to miss a week of school right off the bat.

My parents don't care either way. They haven't been to WDW since 1986 and have mostly forgotten it!

So--our choices are May or Sept 2008. For those who have been there both times--how do they compare crowd wise?? Is September signifigantly less crowded than May??? Heat doesn't really bother us, so that's not an issue. Just wondering about the crowds!

Early-to-mid May is not very crowded at all, but September usually has the lowest attendance.

I think you can't go wrong either way. May will be a little more crowded, but still far from crowded. Just make sure you go before Memorial Day if you choose May.
